The name of the union is what?
Gustavius
The name
As neither I, the Malaysian congress or the new Thai-citizens probably want to keep "Malaysia" as the single name of this new union, I guess that we need a new name. Some "alternatives" do already exist as a proposal, there some of them I like personally and some of them I would probably throw a pie on if I so could.
But still, some examples is:
* United South-East-Asia (USEA)
* The Union of Malaysia and Thailand
* Thai Melayu Kesatuan/Thai Melayu Kesatuan
* The commonwealth of South-east Asia (CSEA)
I would like to bring up more but sadly the forum refuse to work as the server is overloaded. Also anyway, I'm rather sure that our opinion in the congress doesn't really matter in the end as it's not only our country which will be named "The commonwealth of South-east Asia" for example, it is your country to.
Therefore I would also like to see if anyone else have a good idea for a new name for this Union, otherwise I will show my support for "The commonwealth of South-east Asia". (Propaganda warning) So bring up your pencils or start up your tired old imagination and create some fancy names.

I like Albert's idea, the Greater Malaysia Federated Republic.
No Teiman, but that's why we have a wiki. "The wiki is the face of a nation, that's why I'm so happy that Malaysia isn't the worst one"

😁 discuss
I like the idea of using "South East Asia" in some form, so we don't have to change the name again if ever Singapore or Philipines decide to join (not saying they would or should, but maybe, just maybe that might be relevant some day)
CSEA has a ring to it. South East Asia also sounds nice, because it reminds me of my real life nationality.
USEA, is much nicer. Reminds me of something from another game, that's the best one, pic USEA for a better... future...
Unites Mainland of Southeast Asia. [UMSA] it's almost like USA! LOL we're the only 2 that's on the Mainland of ASIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geography guys, cmon.... I'm still upset about this situation. I'm sorry for nagging! I'm a Thai at heart, how can I not. Thailand- means land of the free. Malaysia- land of the Malays.
i like (CSEA), another one could be Federation Of South East Asia.
I also will agree with CSEA 😃
p/s: MAP is now MTUP (Malaysian - Thai Unity Party) 😃
CSEA sounds good pronounced like "see-see".
voted for CSEA
CSEA FTW
USEA
USEA
Commonwealth reminds me of the queen of england and her commonwealth.
But both USEA and CSEA leaves it open in future for other asian nations to join us, and I like that.
Republic of South East Asia
RSEA sounds like arsey. Ha
Kesatuan Thai Melayu.
CSEA is cool.
Like it!
CSEA also reminds me of cicis, which are never a bad thing.
However, I mentioned this to my (noneRepublik) friend, and she felt that having acronyms as the official name was boring. She thinks we should call it Malathai or Malaythai to better preserve the unique flavor of the names.
The commonwealth of South-east Asia (CSEA)
greater malayan federation, refering to malaya as the malayan peninsula and the malay archipelego (which is actually mostly indonesian).... but it looks like CSEA takes the cake.
I would prefer something easy to remember, such as "May-Thai" or "Malay-Thai" republic.
ehhh, if CSEA would not be the name, the name would still be "The Commonwealth of South-east Asia", just that you would say USEA. After all, you say USA even if the country is United states of America, you say UK even if the country is the United Kingdom.
USEA! You-see!
MAYTHAIMAXXXXXXXX!
Not really. I'm in favor of anything with a catchy abbreviation. I do agree that 'South East Asia' ought to be involved in some way.
I fear mention it but, Greater Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. 😛
What about just South East Asia?
CSEA 😁
Whats about the UNoSEA ? (United Nations of South-East Asia ?)
My suggestion is "Federal Republic Malaysia and Thailand" - FRMT
