The Most Cost Effective Way to Deploy Troops Abroad.

Day 503, 15:08 Published in USA Poland by Ryan_5

Many nations send troops to help allies. Also, Nations import troops from allied nations. Recently, there was a controversy in the way US sent troops to help Romania. Since this is the only details I have on how tanks are funded, I am using it as a model.

3 "tanks" are deployed to Romania. I am assuming that moving tickets were supplied. Also, I know that Q5 weapons were supplied. Tanking involves using wellness packs to allow high level players to maximize their fights. Therefore wellness packs were also bought. The cost of Deploying troops to tank has three variables then. Moving Tickets, Weapons, and Wellness packs.

Assuming 100 wellness, and placement in a Q5 hospital region, each soldier gets five fights per day, free. This means to get more fights, there are two options. Use wellness packs, or bring in more soldiers. If every solider is supplied the same Q weapons, then that price is fixed. Therefore the cost of additional fights is dependent on the cost of moving tickets vs. wellness packs.

Importing troops is cheaper than buying wellness packs. Assuming you buy foreign troops two tickets each, at .3 gold a piece. That gives you additional 5 fights at .12 gold a piece, compared to the 1 fight for 2 gold you get with wellness packs. However there is more to be considered, not all soldiers are equal, and wellness packs are more effective.

Since wellness effects damage, then the highest possible damage is dealt with 100 wellness. Starting at 100 wellness, and using a wellness pack after each fight, you can get more fights at 100 wellness. Assuming you had two identical soldiers, both fight 5 times, one uses a hospital, the other wellness packs. The one using wellness packs will do more damage. Of course the difference in damage dealt, varies based on strength, rank, and weapon Q.

All these are with 100 starting wellness, with Q5 weapons and five fights
A lower level player like me does 34 more damage with wellness packs.
A Colonel with 7.202 Strength does 62 more damage with wellness packs
A FM with 14.594 Strength does 151 more damage with wellness packs.

Since the cost of all those examples is 10 more gold, for what is at most 151 more damage points seems to point that tanking is not very cost effective. Of course there are limits to the amount of high level players. Still me, a mere 5.4 Str Sgt. makes more than 151 damage in 5 fights, with only q1 weapons. Of course so far in my calculations I have had a few flaws. Importing troops with Q1 tickets cost, -2 on travel, and soldiers are rarely 100 wellness.

There are still some factors to be considered. I might get around to exploring that later. Certainly, I am not saying we shouldn't tank. Just that it isn't the only way to get extra damage.
