The Map of Europe (Day 2798/2799)

Day 2,798, 08:41 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Max Blue
This article outlines what is going on in Europe. These articles have been popular so I will continue making them until the community gets tired of them or I run out of time.

This is what Europe looks like today.

The two orange circles around green regions are Germany. Germany has successfully kicked Canada out of German regions and their base in the Netherlands. However Brazil has successfully landed an airstrike in Germany and has taken more regions. Brazil is highlighted in red next to Germany.

France are about to be wiped, currently they only control one region which is highlighted orange. The French government want this, but there is some debate in France about this course of action. The only country in France that is not a welcome guest is Chile (highlighted in green), while Slovenia (highlighted in black), Colombia (highlighted in yellow) and the USA (highlighted in red) are all friends of France. Poland no longer control a region(s) in the area after losing their last Belgian territory to Chile.

Looking at Spain we can see a resurgent Spain has kicked the USA out of their land, and have been taking regions back from Portugal. Spain has relatively high determination (around 1.5/1.6 in some regions) which makes it hard to hold down an organised resistance. However Portugal still holds many Spanish regions.

Further North you will see Ireland have regained a region (highlighted in red) and next to Ireland you will see two red circles in the UK. The UK currently only has one region, but Argentina agreed to release Dublin to Ireland and East Midlands to the UK (to add to the North West of England). The release of these regions comes in the wake of Argentina attacking Mexico and Argentina must be hoping this will keep the populations of Ireland and the UK at least relatively content. Currently there are no Argentinian plans to return more Irish or UK regions.

The yellow circle in the South around green regions is Macedonia who have fought back against Greece. Macedonia currently hold all of their original regions and have now pushed into Greece itself. The large orange circle in the South shows Serbia has completely taken Turkey who are a considerably large country. The question is: how long can Serbia hold down such a powerful country while having regions in many other countries as well?

Romania are the large yellow nation in the East (you can't miss them). They continue to hold regions of Ukraine, who are wiped (Russia also holds Ukrainian regions) and Belarus. Belarus have one region left. Eastern Europe is pretty quiet on the whole (except in the South with the Macedonia/Greece war), especially considering how many nations are in that area. Scandinavia is still quiet with Estonia continuing to rejoin the map after successfully RWing regions back from Finland and Latvia, but will continue to lose to both nations in MPP's unless something changes.

Future battles

In the future we can expect to see more Swiss and Austrian resistance wars against Slovenia as these are often successful (or close to success) due to Slovenia being split for damage. We can also expect more Spanish RW's and at least short term Spanish success as they have good determination levels and RW organisation. We will also see more 'hot' battles between Brazil and Germany for control of German regions and I expect we will see more battles in France and more between Macedonia and Greece.
