The Many Useful Tricks of Formating Your Newspaper

Day 540, 01:19 Published in Canada Canada by dabman

Many eCanadian journalists are excellent writers and do a tremendous service for our country. Yet a lot of journalists are unaware of the some of the formatting ability eRep offers to its newspapers. In this article, I will demonstrate some examples of all the possible ways of formatting a newspaper:

Using code

Codes are placed in brackets like the image of the article demonstrates. For any code listed in this article, follow the same format of placing it within brackets, and ending the code by also placing a backslash as shown.

Types of code:

Bol😛 Put "b" into brackets of code and endcode

Italics: Put "i" into brackets of code and endcode

Underline: Put "u" into brackets of code and endcode

Combinations: You can use more than one at a time! Just make sure you follow proper order of format usage, otherwise none of your article text will show up.
Example: if you do "b" "u" "i", make sure you close in the opposite order, "i", "u", "b"

Links: Follow this format, but replace quotations with brackets. "url=http://www.example.com/"This is a link"/url". This will result in a link like this: This is a link. Notice that the text following the link is what ends up appearing on your article.

Images: You can post images by using the following format. "img" link-to-the-image "/img". This will add an image to your article, like this:

Unlike the import picture feature of eRep, this feature allows you to use any web format of images! Notice that the image is larger than the import picture, but unfortunately you cannot adjust its size.

Font Size: You can change font size by using "size😶" to start and "/size" to end your chosen text. Use an integer from 1-100 as the value for x. Keep in mind that size 12 is roughly the standard size!
