The Ireland Situation

When I first joined this game over a year ago, the love shown towards the Irish was quite sickening: they could do nothing wrong. We had an agreement, but not an alliance; they would not attack us and we would not attack them. Everyone apparently agreed that this was a fantastic state of affairs and ignored the fact that maybe their close relationship with the USA meant that they were actually just biding their time and waiting to see whose side they wished to choose.
Since then we have seen their true intentions. When EDEN invaded the eUK (Norway, Sweden, USA, Canada and Spain) and we were left with just London, Ireland decided to relieve us of a territory that they would have probably have left alone if not for real life issues: Northern Ireland. We won Northern Ireland back, along with the rest of the country, but since then, Northern Ireland has been their main aim, followed by the destruction of the rest of the eUK.
There was talk, not long ago, about the Ireland situation. There were some arguments for and some arguments against a possible invasion of eIreland. Some of these arguments against were legitimate; money being the main issue. The arguments for, in my opinion, were a lot stronger: they cannot be trusted; it will help provide more of a buffer to eUSA and eCanada etc. It was clear, however, that we were not going to invade eIreland at that point because of one simple reason: in real life, some people in the game like real life Ireland.
At this point I will hold my hands up: I do not hate Ireland in real life, but I’m not their biggest fan and do get annoyed about things like people celebrating Paddy’s Day and not St. George’s Day. However, I am playing a game. Let me repeat that: I am playing a game. In the game, it is very clear what side Ireland have taken. They are constantly sniping at us, always taking USA/Canada’s side and, more importantly, always want Northern Ireland. To me, and with two regions under Irish attack right now I think most can see, eIreland is an enemy. However, I can bet that there will still be people in the upper echelons of eUK society who will still argue against an invasion of eIreland and the only reason I can think of is because they like Ireland in real life.
After we get out of this situation, which we will, please take real life out of this situation and remember we are playing a game. eIreland is an enemy and a particularly annoying one at that. If it’s not an in game reason, leave it to one side: real life situations play no part in this game. eIreland made their choice: let’s make them regret it.

We need to induce open citizenship in Ireland, and watch them PTO'd by Eastern European militias - as the USA comes in to ATO for them, they may beat the PTO, but lose their independence.
I don't celebrate Paddy's Day. I'm from Liverpool and therefore I avoid the pubs like the plague around March 17th.
Your problem is your country is so arogant. Open your eyes and look around and figure out where you are on the pecking order to be wiped out. Fortress london is a myth, your MPP are all under attack them selves, and you talk about invading another country. You can not even defend your original region how would you invade Ireland?

UK, maybe you should be thinking about being a province of Canada. It would be awesomest way out and if you happily become a canadian province, you'll be so awesome to us that Canada will stop attacking you.

you cant blame eIreland for initially having good relations with the US, we had good relations with you too....thats part of being neutral.
The simple reason why Ireland is closer to the US than to Britian now, is because of eBritish aggression. When the eUK attacked Ireland i warned that this was gonna happen, but who listens to the old Starkad.

Don't you mean they decided take N. Ireland when we were fighting off EDEN from all sides. And bare in mind they didn't even have the balls to take it from us, they made a deal and traded it.
Ireland conquered Norther Ireland from Norway, after you had lost it to the Norwegians.
UK then faced two choices:
a) acknowledge the fact that NI is important for many irish due to real life reasons, cede a completely worthless region and gain an ally for Pheonix
or
b) insist on that it is "yours" (which, after losing it...technically wasnt)....and push Ireland into the hands of Eden.
You made your choice, dont blame Ireland, blame yourselves.
actully it was UK who pushed us over, with Gladdos and dish, and then u invaded us in 5 regions when we were going to Canada,
