The groups in eDK
HoeMarx
This short little article is an exercise in group therapy. First we place each other into our respective groups, and clarify where these groups stand. With this system, the rhetoric, differences, arguments should hopefully become clear. Where we stand defines what we say and why.
The eDanes
This group contains the danish population, including both the RL danes, exiled danes, and the integrated citizens. They fight for the preservation of eDK, untainted democracy, danish sovereignty and open government.
The pTO'ers
This group is quite self-explanatory. These people are the ones who usurped eDK, effectively ruining the danish economy, and exiling a fair number of the danish population.
This group is easily recognizable, through their articles and comments. If a person writes in serbian, uses names such as swedanes or denies the existence of a pTO, they belong in this group.
The friends
This group is by far the heart of eRep. They are the ones who transcend the digital borders, assimilating into their housing countries, and working together with the native governments. These people usually write the most interesting articles, in that they are the most objective of all.
The nature of groups
Luckily nothing here is static. As we grow and digest information, our perspectives may shift. Because you are a friend, does not dictate weather you end up in the eDanes group, or the pTO'ers group. If you are eDane, you can still choose to move out into the world and be a friend, or even choose to collaborate with the pTO'ers. If you are a pTO'er, you can still shift your approach and work together with the eDanish population, and exiled population.
My wish...
…is that the pTO'ers will choose to work together with the friends and eDanes. But what does this exactly mean? Well for one, it means that the pTO'ers will need to assimilate, which is far from easy given the present hostile atmosphere they have created. Secondly, it means that the pTO'ers will have to change their rhetoric. This implies speaking in a different tone, and not futilely and purposefully twist imagination and facts.
So hopefully it will be possible to work together, but I have to admit that this is not an easy suggestion to swallow. This is up to you, all individually. We all know which group we belong to, and we all know which group the next person belongs to. The first thing to do, would be to grant the eDanes a political party, and not overrun it.
Best regards,
HoeMarx
Comments
From where I'm stading, it wouldn't hurt the Danish side to change rhetoric either. Half the comments are typically people screaming "Troll" at each other.
"is that the pTO'ers will choose to work together with the friends and eDanes." Maybe, thats my short answer.
We tried. 🙂 We even entered negotiations to cooperate with the eSerbs. The eSerbs demands which were apparently non-negotiable was a eSerbian president, and control of Danske Bank.
We showed our good will and got nothing in return. In fact we'd have gotten even less than we do now, amazingly.
Group-therapy sounds great 😛
Let's put the uncooperating PTO's in boxes and send them home. 😃
Yep this is old news. However I can see that it might confuse you, since Pered the PTO'er is pretending to consider your idea 😛
+1 Jepaan
If someone's being a jerk, the last thing you want to do is prove yourself to be on the same level.
And I almost don't want to say this, because I do like you guys - the so called "eswedanes" 😉 - but how are comments like jakobs, above, helping you? I see a lot of that kind, and I'm sorry to say it's not only from one side. I understand it's meant as a joke, and jokes are great - but there's a time and place. And couldn't you think of a better place, and a better audience? Because the eserbs have obviously shown they don't understand this kind of joke, and all you're doing is feeding bad feelings, feelings that might have had a chance to die down if you didn't keep throwing fuel on the fire. You're painting yourself into a corner.
Sorry for the lecture, now both sides are going to hate me 😃
@ auroradormita
I just reincarnated a few days ago, from 6 months of inactivity. So the rhetoric is in place, and no, it should not change radically. And here is why -> read the next article from this newspaper.
@HoeMarx
Sorry but I don't understand what you mean by that. Could you explain?
@ auroradormita
explain what part ?
@HoeMarx
Did you mean your rhetoric is in place because you just reincarnated? And that the rhetoric in general shouldn't change and the next article explains that? I think this article is good by the way, it wasn't the article I was grouching about, but the next article explains exactly nothing.
@ auroradormita
The next article is not meant to explain anything. 😃 It's the one after that. This one -> http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/eserbs-in-the-media-1313069/1/all" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/eser[..]/all
The rhetoric is in place because the danes tried diplomacy, and to establish cooperation with the serb pTO'ers, but it failed because of the serb totalitarian mentality. So as I see it, the only official thing to do, is just to have some fun with the situation.
Writing entertaining, or in some cases very informative, articles, should not be halted simple because the serbs are salting our soil.
@HoeMarx
OK, now I'm with you 😉
I just want to point out that I think the eDanish media is great, with a few exceptions. It's just some of the content that makes me think "if you have nothing to say, don't say it!"
There are two ways to see this diplomacy thing. Either you could say that you tried to make an agreement and it failed so that's that, we have no common ground. Or else you could argue that naturally you couldn't agree on anything since both sides hate each others' guts and that before you even think of making a deal you will have to create some good feelings and common ground, even if that means going out of your way to be nice.
I kind of see the sense in both of the above. Yes, it's a lot of work to change the feelings that are there, and it might fail. But really, isn't it worth it? If, instead of a drawn out to-the-death battle you could get them to work with you to rebuild the country, the result would be a stronger eDenmark.
Or, just ignore me 😉 I tend to have too optimistic a belief in that everyone has something good in them.
@ auroradormita
During the 6 months that I was inactive, the approaches that you state have all been tried, and failed.
Back in 2009 while I was active, I welcomed the eSerbs in hope that we could work together, and we built parties and crossed candidates. Then I revive in the here and now, and it's all gone to s***.
So there, sad but true. The situations seems pretty stale.
@HoeMarx
That stinks, huh?
And (regarding your last article), goodbye for six months. Was nice talking to you.
