With the recent changes in the regional system, many of erepubliks greatest regions will change. However, the memories of many of erepubliks greatest battles still live on in many players and the great regions will always hold a place in our hearts. So here is The Great Regions of Erepublik – Part 2


Florida

Florida may have been the 27th State to become part of the United States of America; in erepublik it was at one point the final region the United States held. This was during World war III which saw a Peace invasion of North America, spearheaded by Indonesia and Russia. Peace was able to secure multiple victories to a point which Florida was the only region left. The Americans developed Florida into one of the games greatest fortresses, an almost impenetrable region which Indonesia did not dare try invade. Florida became the center of American activity which saw the country rebuild and regain many of their lost territories. Florida was for the most part of V1, the most fortified American regions which would never fall. At a time, it was the most populace region in the world thus making it an impossible task to invade.


Kyushu

Okinawa will always be remembered for being the location of one of the Worlds bloodiest battles. The Kyushu region in erepublik, the region which Okinawa is a part of, was the location for one of the biggest battles in erepublik history. Kyushu is the only region in Asia (excluding Russia) which has a border to the United States of America. This made it of paramount importance during World War III as Indonesia looked to invade the United States. Following much disagreement and displeasure; Japan, a Peace member at the time, allowed the Indonesia to pass through their high Grain region of Kyushu in order to commence the North American invasion. This showed the tactical importance of the region which held much importance to the Japanese, being their only high region.

However Kyushu would once again crucial during World War IV as the Americans looked to take the battle to Asia and free the Chinese and India high Iron regions. Kyushu was back in the spot light as it was the only region linking America to Southern Asia and China. Thus began one of erepublik’s greatest battles. Japan did not have many MPPs and thus it was almost a one on one battle. However this battle saw thousands of mobile troops come to the aid of both Japan and America. However the battle ended in an unfavourable time for the Americans, thus they were unable to be there in the last hour. Japan was able to come out victorious following heavy support from the newly formed Phoenix who did millions of damage. This battle saw the end of Japan’s involvement in Phoenix. This one region, which held the utmost tactical importance, was the centre of two of the eWorlds world Wars. First in World war III saw Kyushu act as a base for the invasion of the United States of America. Then in World War IV in which it was the scene of one of erepublik’s greatest battles and the springboard for the USA to help its Chinese and Indian allies.


Podolia

Ukraine has never been an erepublik powerhouse. It has always been at the mercy of its larger neighbours. Thus its high Iron region of Podolia has become a curse which sees these larger nations vie for control of the high Iron, the only available source of Iron in Europe not held by a European powerhouse. Thus, it was inevitable that it would come under multiple invasions as major Central European nations fought for they key source of Iron.

The first nation to invade and conquer Ukraine was the Romanians. They had very little problem in running through the country, taking the high Iron region in the process. Romania would hold onto Podolia for many months, developing it into one of the country’s most important regions and a driving force in its economy. This was only the start of a see saw history which saw Podolia swing between the two mightiest of rivals, Romania and Hungary. Recently, the region was returned to Ukraine only to be invaded by Hungary shortly after their regaining of the majority of their regions. The allure of high Iron proved to be too much for the Hungarians as it did for the Romanians in years gone by. The region has seen many Great battles between the Romanians and Hungarians in almost every version of erepublik.


Rhone Alps

Rhone Alps was a region that epitomized the last few months of V1. The French high Wood region became the may stay of the Poish empire which had an unimaginable baby boom which saw it become the leading erepublik power. Rhone Alps supplied Poland with a key source of Wood for their houses. Poland were determined to defend the region and thus created one of erepublik’s greatest fortress regions. Poland poured citizens into the region, creating an immense attack cost as well as a Wall of over a million damage, making it almost impenetrable. A Wall that few could rival.

Phoenix was able to capture the region following Slovenian advance in February of 2010 However Eden were able to conquer the region as Spain took abother High Stone region. Once again, multiple massive battles were seen as Rhone Alps maintained its incredibly high Wall. It was finally conquered by Hungary a few months before V2. However that would not be the end of this great regions tale as it caused controversy in the Phoenix camp, threatening French and Phoenix relations. In the end, an agreement was worked out all though the region was returned to France early.

That is it for part 2. Some of erepublik’s greatest regions have suddenly lost importance following the recent changes the admins have employed. No more will Rhone Alps be seen as a key source for high Stone, no more will Podolia be the center of the Hungarian-Romanian conflict. But for nostalgia is always good and learning something new is even better. Personally, I had not heard of the battles of Kyushu before I researched it. I hope you enjoy.
