The Glorious Military

This is the very first article from the newly-appointed military administration (and not the last)! Although not really an official military publication, this article was released in hopes of informing the public of the changes we are planning to make in our military structure and furthermore begin an active recruiting process to improve our country’s military into an organized, international force. I, exReality have been appointed as Minister of Defense along with our previous Minister of Defense; Squibeel. The administration deemed it was necessary to have two Ministers because of Japan’s very diverse community (meaning different time zones) and to ensure leadership is constantly present and ready to react to the various situations that may arise.

Back to the Good Ol’ days…

Alfred-Ball, our President-elect, has mandated several changes to the Japanese military structure. The military will now be composed of several divisions; the trainee division (0-1000 STR), the JIA (1000-1800), and lastly the elite division (requires a very generous 1800+ STR). The trainee division will teach the newer players, the basic s and underpinnings of the game and will later be processed into the JIA once they have established themselves well-within the community. The trainee division would be led by FriedRice. Although not a new change it is important to mention that our JIA will now be led by Lexutza, and lastly Squibeel and I will command the elite division. The elite division will be consisted of our most active and strongest soldiers. The necessity of being on the IRC will be stressed much more in this division than the other two. Japan will no longer be fighting domestic wars instead we will be devoting our forces predominantly in campaigns led by PANAM. As one of the founding members we have a duty towards assisting the alliance.

Another important change I would like to address is that unlike the previous administrations, we will be actively seeking out members and recruiting the newer players into our trainee divisions. This means we will be pming new and old citizens alike to join us in the military. I predict this new recruiting policy would boost our activity rate (both in the forums and the IRC), while simultaneously creating a stronger force. We have much to accomplish this term and hopefully these are the correct stepping stones to doing so.

Voted! Great idea, I love the idea of it.

Would these divisions be assorted into military units? Or maybe just the JIA and Elite divisions, while the trainee groups are in name only until they can join the higher ranks?

Personally, I think that the reorganization is a change for the better for the JIA. However, I prefer to do the 'wait and see' approach to evaluate any pros and cons that having a Military Unit entails.

@PoorBoy: I don't believe it would be hard to round up 40G, especially for an such an organized country (yes Ive been on the quite.. *cough* monotonous forums). eJapan is a wealthy country and I suppose one of the top food exporters of eRep.

For eJapan the question is not who will fund this venture, but the speed that structure and organization allows.

BUT perhaps you are right, and I have no reason to object with the wait and see approach, but I do believe that we must organize (and indeed we have (with exReality's recent announcement found here: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-glorious-military-1704027/1/20)
