The future of the ePhilippines

As we know, the Ministry of Defence conducted a survey about our military and political situation on the international arena. I decided to express my opinion and to consider presented suggestions. That is my personal opinion on this matter.
1. What about the survey?
The majority of voters opted for changes, maybe even resignation from neutrality and joining an alliance. But which alliance? Results of survey you can find in THIS article. Now I will try to consider the andvantages and disadvantages of these solutions.
2. Why not neutrality?
Because neutrality in the long run leads to boredom and stagnation. Also, ePhilippine society is composed of players from various countries so national sympathies may be different. There is no solution that will satisfy all. Deal with it. We want to change something so we slowly moving away from neutrality.
3. Is CoT a good idea?
In my opinion - no. I don't like the possibility of break with current allies (Argentina, Colombia, China) and associate with enemies of our allies (Chile, Mexico, Japan, South Korea). I have no aversion to any of these countries, just I think it would be too violent. Thus we could lose trustworthiness.
4. EDEN - a better choice?
In fact, this alliance would be systematization of our current relations and foreign policy. All of our allies, with whom we have signed MPPs, belong to the EDEN (apart from Ireland, they left EDEN few days ago). We could follow the example of Colombia and join the group of trial members.
5. Why join an alliance?
The advantage is that we have something like consistent, secure list of allies, we can count on possible help. As a member of alliance we receive a trust and we can demonstrate our usefulness and willingness to help. The disadvantage is that smaller countries may be marginalized because of interests of more powerful countries.

Joining an alliance would surely have disadvantages for us especially that our country is located in a strategic location where we have borders with CoT and EDEN. Our regions have a large possibility of becoming battlefields which is the reason why we are neutral right now. When we are neutral, we see stability in our country such that we see the purple color in the world map. However, as we are neutral, our allies who are much allied with EDEN would help more in EDEN campaigns than defending us
Therefore it would be good if our allies are not associated with any alliance or better yet, we form an alliance of neutral countries whose objective is to defend, liberate and assert our sovereignty on the regions bestowed upon us by our anitos (ancestors). A neutral alliance will not favor EDEN nor CoT since it is neutral. The only problem of forming a neutral alliance is the number of countries joining and the number of people in each country. The alliance might as well become one country.
Anyway, when we are neutral or we have no alliance whatsoever, our regions can be rented by EDEN or CoT members which is profitable only if the rent is paid.
As to joining EDEN or CoT. I have no opinions yet to discuss : D
I believe that during my term, EDEN was kinda very good to join.

Eden ( China, Taiwan ) vs CoT ( Indonesia ) = Eden

Maybe we should just continue being neutral for the time being if we are being sandwiched between EDEN and COT borders. Besides, I think our military priorities can be focused better during neutrality rather than being required by alliance priorities. But yeah, I still don't have much of the picture and it all seems that most ePhilippine citizens prefer EDEN.
well if you look at our country's position its an ideal strategic place that could be a nice card to play diplomatically or militarily (plus it be more interesting if our country be involved in world affairs at times not just sitting by the sidelines most of the time)
If we are to be neutral I would prefer our MPPs to be countries not involved with EDEN or CoT. Being involved with EDEN or CoT countries would make us look pro-EDEN or pre-CoT which makes things too complicated in a sense that we will ask ourselves if we really are neutral. It won't make sense that we are neutral but our MPPs are aligned with one alliance. If we are to align ourselves or to ally ourselves with EDEN or CoT countries, why not just join their alliance?
It will make things easier to understand. At least we know that our country is getting conquered by the enemy because they are enemies and not because they need a bridge to attack another country : P
Still there's the choice of becoming true neutral. True in the sense that we don't have MPPs, neutral in the sense that we equally favor all countries who approach us and True neutral in the sense that we fight for the what we think is right. At least we won't need to spend some government money

Argentina, Colombia, China are very good allies... and looking at the local geopolitical arena i believe that sticking with EDEN would be best at the moment
Chile, Mexico, Japan, South Korea mat be enemies of our allies but i think we could keep neutrality with them while on an EDEN alliance... if neutrality is not possible then maybe and hopefully in the near future they may come in the folds of EDEN alliance aswell ....(continued next post)
but at the moment based on the previous article about the local geopolitical map i strongly believe that an EDEN alliance is best option to take... I strongly suggest the survey to be run again soo that we can have a clearer results based on informed opinions

I don't know what you guys think but the best for the ePhilippines at the moment is to go with CoT...

Can you explain why it's best for ePH to go with CoT?
If i could add, do you know the damage requirement to get into EDEN? ( exception to norway but that was a founding member of EDEN) Not to mention the fact EDEN wont help you, EDEN is too busy fighting ONE nations. EDEN nations are incredibly week only two EDEn Nations have their origonal regions he rest are wiped or being wiped.
Can I suggest joining an Alliance that is neutral to other aLliances and focus' on helping it's members, instea of hating or attacking orer Alliances.
All of you guys voted for change.I voted for CoT. Why? Becouse CoT showed that they are not forgetting their members. Situation in Southern Asia right now is this:
- Indonesia is trying to get rid of Croatians from Asia. They will attack in the evening after they will get MPP with Brazil.
- Brazil is #1 country in eWorld right now.
- Chile have occupied Australia for more than month.
- China and USA are pretty inactive in past month.
Situation in CoT
- With RL Macedonians and former Macedonian president in the team, Macedonia will give Philippines full support.
- Also Bulgaria and Serbia showed that they are great allies
With strong countries MPPs, ePhilippines will be strong. Taiwan won in last fights because ePhilippines did not have allies and Taiwan had.
We need allies that will fight!
I agree that CoT is a lot stronger than EDEN because CoT isn't getting murdered by TWO (Formerly known as ONE)
Although if you look at entrance into CoT Lithuania is on a trial membership and the damage they do is a lot higher than the damage ePhilipines does. Also MPP's cost 10,000 a month so it could potentially bankrupt the country.
The question is why CoT allow you to join when you are such a weak nation you would weaken the Alliance.
Also look at South Korea and Japan they have been occupied for ages and CoT either aren't helping them or can't help them. I fear that it is the first option.
I get what you're saying MakEmpire but I feel that you're being biased because I think you're Macedonian in RL and before going to ePH (am I right?) and Macedonia is in CoT. I think that before deciding the fate of this nation, we need unbiased information first.
I think it's not the right time to join any alliance. I changed my mind to being neutral. Why? Like the others said, we are weak. We will be just relying on other countries than fight on our own. Heck even our government cannot even afford daily supplies from their official MU's. Why not just improve our military and economic funds than joining the bigger alliances. Joining the alliances and being neutral doesn't even make a difference.

RaymondN: Who says that joining a X-alliance (pro-X-alliance) will mean that we will need to have NE and fight? For small country as ePh, joining an alliance will mean: to have someone to help us then we will be attacked, and also we to help someone when they are attacked/attacking
@Vincenzo Roque I am RL Macedonian too, also Destroyer S87 and others. But we are Filipino more than 8 months and more.
Choise No.1: EDEN - with China as a "big brother" is OK and is very good recipy for success, if China agree.
Choise No.2: CoT - Indonesia, there are a lot of Serbs and Macedonians, and we can get a lot of help from them
In survey I vote for CoT because I fill that way.
But, lets make one thing clear: If we make decision ePhilippines to enter in EDEN we will fight against CoT.

I didn't say anything about NE. It's their decision to help not us just like any ordinary MPP's. Like Daniel Quayle said ePH is a weak nation. Why would they need our help if we are weak, I would rather deal with other strong countries than being allied with the weak. We can't even defend our very own country and now we are helping others? Lol
EDEN is a good candidate choice for the alliance because we have China and they already helped us before against Indonesia but we can never be sure IF they would help. It's up to EDEN's leadership.
Neutral is just being on the safe side. We can still claim our islands by being friendly with other nations.
If not they can rent it. Not all war can be fought by force.
There is no question of us being weak so there's a large possibility that we will be rejected first hand which is sad. However, there's no reason for us to give up for we can join or form a neutral alliance which Daniel Quayle suggested. At least we aren't siding up with any alliance that can change the shape of the eWorld such that we won't be dragged in a full scale war. If ever we are dragged, since we are neutral, we can talk about it with the alliance head such that we come to terms.
In the meantime.... we're getting pounded by three different countries.
