Lieutenant Kamal Idris as the platoon leader was forced to choose members who will participate in the mission since not all members can participate as ordered by the QRF Commander.

"I'm going to fight, who would want to follow me, let us go and die once, if we get back, how lucky!" said Lt. Kamal to his members.
Each members including 3 head section that already married decided to join the mission. Lt. Kamal then select unmarried member only, this action is opposed by other members who have been married. They argued that most of them were new and did not have enough experience, but Lt. Kamal explained he did not have the heart to bring the members who are married, this is the right time for new members to experience combat.

Combat Team Charlie (Company A) - using all 14 APC vehicle Condor and 2 Anti-Tank Platoon lead member Company C, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division
Combat Team Alpha (Company B ) - to bring members of Company A, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 14th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division
Combat Team Bravo - the rest of the Ranger Humvee ride
