The Five Parties to Watch During the Party President Elections and Why

On November 15th we will be holding Party President Elections once again, and I wanted to take this opportunity to write about the importance of these elections. While most focus on their own Party exclusively, I wanted to highlight how this process is the building block for Congressional and Presidential Elections in the future, and thus effects the Nation as a whole in a much greater way than some may think. The first thing that every citizen should know is that every Party President picks their list of Candidates who run for Congress, so the quality of Congressmen to vote for is directly related to the diligence of the man or women who will be elected to lead each Party. They also order this list, which means that the Party President decides on what order the listed Candidates for Congress will become a Congressman if their party wins. Conventional knowledge and past history show that the top five ranked Parties consistently win in Congressional Elections, so the men and women who are elected Party President of the top five ranked Parties on November 15th will essentially be deciding our Congress in the next elections, not us. That is how the system works, and that is why these Elections deserve more across the board attention.

To that end, this explanation will be a comprehensive review of the top five ranked Parties and their current status.


The United States Workers Party

The USWP has historically been the dominant party in the eUSA, and it's membership certainly dominate the administration and discussions of the eUSA Forums. They have built much of the structure of the eUSA and its social programs and consistently win Presidential Elections. Their current incumbent, Wild Owl, the President of the eUSA, has received mixed criticism due to a combination of successfully organizing Training Wars and managing our colonial relationships, as well as increasing social programs such as DoCA and AA while maintaining what many describe as an unpleasant and egotistical personality and a lack of accessibility and communication, as well as questions being raised about his Administrations mishandling of funds regarding the Congressional Budget Office.

He is not running for Party President this term, and four of the Parties Leadership have risen up to take his place. Congressman Cthulu and dmjohnston; considered well-respected members of Congress, Kevon Graves; a relative unknown and Marius CB, who seems to be the early frontrunner, the current Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Commander of EZ Company.

The USWP won 21% of the vote last Congressional Election, and with their seasoned incumbent not running, this is a race to play close attention to. They have a good shot at winning the next Presidential Elections as well, so whoever wins this race will have an enormous impact on the politics of the eUSA for the near future.

The Socialist Freedom Party

I have heard the SFP repeatedly described as the opposite, or the antithesis, of the USWP. They are very active inside of the game mechanics, a complaint I have heard that USWP is not, by recruiting, writing articles and seeking out new players. They seem to reject participation in the outside Forums and have often been cast as ‘rule’ breakers at west and complete outsiders at best. This Part has been mired in scandal in recent times. They have current Candidates running for Party President that are considered Political Takeover Candidates and during the last election, there were substantiated rumors of bribery for votes and the bringing in of members of other Parties to ‘illegally’ vote.

Their incumbent, Salty, will not be running for Party President this term. His main opponent in the last election, Chickensguys may seem like the front-runner for this Party as he came in second during the last election by only four votes, but he is a recent member of the SFP and was at the heart of the bribery and PTO scandal, and thus seems to not be trusted by many citizens both inside and out of the Party. An off the record Congressional source from within the Party felt strongly enough to state that if he were to become Party President, the SFP will be in a severe crisis and it could be a threat to the eUSA as a whole. Phil Harmony was a Candidate but is considered a Troll by many and his Candidacy was withdrawn due to the process of his account being permanently banned. Wooky Jack has rescinded his candidacy. Tef1 is a new member of the SFP and has an active newspaper, which he publishes enthusiastically in support of his Party. He was a single term Congressman but seems to lack the experience to get any viable support, and five other Candidates for the Party have virtually no chance of being elected. The expected winner of the election is TheNorm, one of the oldest members of SFP and most respected within their ranks. Their ‘Revolutionary Committee’ supports him, and he is seen as the main opponent to Chickensguys.

I have been told by many Party members that they expect to see a repeat of last months Elections, with bribery, opportunism and underhanded tactics at use. The SFP one 17% of the Congressional vote last election, and if their Party is destabilized a considerable number of Congressman coming from that Party could be corrupt, beholden to special interests or simply not qualified. This is a concerning matter for the Country as a whole.

The Federalist Party

The Federalist Party is an enigma for one that won the Congressional Elections last round, and they have won the Presidency five times in a row, even with Wild Owl as the current President, he was the Federalist Candidate. They are the Number One ranked Party in the Nation, and this is due to a strong organizational structure the Party maintains outside of the game, even going so far as deciding their Party President from a rotating list of leading members. It seems like an alliance between the Federalists and the USWP has allowed them to maintain power in both Congress and the Executive Branch consistently. This is less of a concern of the Party Presidency, but more something to consider; is an Alliance of the top Parties in such a way good for the Democratic Process? Does it lead to free and fair Elections? I will leave those answers for the reader to decide.

The Black Sheep Party

As a member of the Black Sheep Party myself, and in keeping with our journalistic principals, I cannot fairly comment or review the Fourth-Ranked Party of the eUSA. I will simply state the fact that they are the Countries sole Libertarian Party, and that the four candidates running; the incumbent Henry William French, Congressmen Arrden and Captain Black Sheep and Dominar Rygar are all viable Candidates for Party President. None of the other Parties representatives I spoke to had much to say about the Black Sheep Party, and it would seem they keep a fairly low profile despite winning 18% of the Congressional Elections last time around.

We The People

As the Fifth-ranked Party, We The People often draws little interest, but this Election there is a bit of controversy in the Party, and winning 10% of the vote last Congressional Election still makes them an important part of Congress. Typically, Cubby, who runs a Supply Commune for the MU WAR INC, runs unopposed. However, this year two serious Candidates have popped up, causing him to resign to focus on his Military Unit, which is his real passion. One of these Candidates is Valiant Thor, who has quite a history and a profile. Some time ago he won the Party President Election and did an essential Party Takeover, removing all Party Officials and changing the Party name while trying to force his own selection of candidates into Congress. Because of this history, it seems We The People members are dedicated to keeping him out of office, so that leaves only a single viable Candidate, and the likely winner; Nesterus, a trustworthy and long-term Party Official.

I hope that this article provides insight into how the Party Presidential Elections of each Party affect the Nation as a whole, not just the Party members, and to that end, gives Citizens an idea of the different leading Parties and their internal organization.
