Welcome to the second day of a Scorpicus’ Presidency! The empire of Svalbard and Jan Meyer continues to prosper in its two days since rebirth, and the government hasn’t been this eager to get going in a long while.

As the position of Public Relations entails, you guys will probably start hearing a lot more from me, again. 😉

First off, Scorpicus’ government wants to be incredibly transparent. One of our largest goals is to keep the public informed and to reinvigorate our morale. How else can you organize against the likes of ABC/ONE?



As requested, the following is a publishing of the governmental meeting held today at 10:00 eRep time (prettied up for easy reading!):

Taulen, Xenius, Blue Cephalopod, Cirno, Coldplayer, Fredrikz, GraduallyNevele, Greyfool, Larry Gumpert, MrManiac, Nejjko, Sir Pony, SirGG

Plans outlined per Google doc; shows every player’s duties and responsibilities within the new government structure:

Forsvarsnytt will continue to be used for Battle Orders; maintained by Coldplayer and Yan Hoek

Coldplayer will be in charge during any open battles

Greyfool and MrManiac will each control an MU

MrManiac -> Heavy Hitters

Greyfool -> Newbie Players and Average Strength soldiers

Coldplayer has expanded the previously proposed ideas for setting up a commune-based supply system, similar to those used in other countries

You make it, you get it, you use it.
Deployments may still be made using personal funds.
Easy NOK can be made off the market using the Q1 food and grain companies supplied by Admin to every player.
These communes would be set up by players moved to China or other resource-heavy nations to ensure the maximum productivity by workers.


This is our preferred method of planning.

Sir Pony will act as the new Minister of Immigration

He’ll utilize in-game-messages (IGMs) and the ImmigrasjonsVerket org

He’s capable of giving out hand-outs via the articles he writes and to new players

New players will be directed here to receive mentoring early on in their eLives and establish a stronger player retention

Along with GraduallyNevele as an assistant, will frequently publish articles relating to the field

GraduallyNevele is now in charge of Public Relations

The first goal (other than article writing) is to get ahold of the old Department of Public Relations.

Scorpicus is working, as President, to attain it through Admin, as the password was lost.

Fun fact: GraduallyNevele ensured many national orgs’ survival during his Presidential term last December (woo, aftereffects!)

Weekly (or daily!) articles will be written to the public
Keeps you guys well informed
Puts something into the media stream
Writes other articles as requested by the President
Assists Sir Pony when needed

Ambassador work is being reassessed

All current or past recorded Ambassadors should have received a pm.
Checking who’s alive and active
Reconsideration of amount of reports due: Once per week?

EDEN channel access was discussed and decided upon. Certain government officials have access via IRC to EDEN’s command and will behave and cooperate accordingly for our country and allies’ benefits.
Cooperation with EDEN is good, right now.

To government officials in EDEN’s channel: Do not idle; you are there to socialize. Help can be given based on IRC activity. A friendly face inspires friendly action.

The remainder of the meeting was spent with most players idling and those in charge of ambassadors organizing.
