The first Greenlamp Issue.

Day 757, 22:58 Published in Australia Australia by Greenlamp

The first article of The Greenlamp Issues, and hopefully the start of a long lasting Newspaper that is known in every eAustralian household.
What a time to start a Newspaper, with massive issues going down throughout eAustralia.
We had the Party President elections, and the declaration of war from eBrazil, and following that, the successful invasion of Western Australia.
Being an ACUK soldier myself, I documented those terrifying hours of my eLife, trapped inside my companies mining facility

It was day 756 of the new world, a storm passing overhead that was heading for the rest of eAustralia, the eBrazilians transport boats emerged from the haze in their thousands, traveling towards the beaches of Western Australia.
I was sitting down in the bunker with the rest of the Super Saiyan Koala's, drinking down a shot of nice hot coffee.
Everyone was checking their weapons as I peeked out of the bunker to see that the eBrazilian being peppered with artillery fire, one boat exploding into a fireball from a direct artillery hit.
Not too soon after, the boats landed on the shore, and the doors fell down.
The sound of machine gun fire was deafening as it tore threw recruits and veterans alike.
I watched as the soldiers of eBrazil slowly advanced, towards the bunkers. Some broke through the sandbag wall, and head towards a nearby bunker. We leapt out of the room and hit with the cool sea breeze. I lifted my rifle and managed to shoot a passing eBrazilian through his leg, disabling him before running to cover as the ground behind me was shredded by automatic weapon fire.
I peeked out from behind the wall, to see the rest of my squad in a similar situation. Making eye contact with some of my squad, we established with hand signals a quick plan. I counted down from three, and then we went for it.
I ran out with the cover of suppressing fire, and took down an eBrazilian where he stood, another got a pot shot, but missed, and had his hand ripped open in return.
The rest of our squad where at their feet, heading towards the corners of a bunker, ready to open fire. When we reached it, they holding aloft a small white shirt.
We lead them off, and cuffed them to a nearby street lamp.
We hurried back to find madness, shredded bodies, eAustralian soldiers being taken back on splints to the already overcrowded hospital.
I bit the dirt, and opened fire, trying to hit as many eBrazilians as I could.
The order was given to retreat back to the city, ASAP.
Reluctantly, we started to fall back, trying to push the eBrazilians as far back as we could keep them on the run.
I found myself separated from my squad after a tank shell landed nearby and eBrazilians catching up.
I started running to my company, and made it just in time, as another tank shell blasted up the pavement behind me. I ran inside the office building, and moved the front desk to the door, hoping that no eBrazilians would find me. To my horror, I saw a group of them heading towards the building I was in, shouting.
I got my rifle from the floor, smashed the window and lined up a soldier with the iron sights.
Several bullets later, and I had downed 3 soldiers.
Reloading, I looked up and saw several Indonesian tanks roll up the beach side, crushing everything in their path. My sence of urgency to leave the place quickened, as the tanks slowly rumbled closer and closer to my location.
I shoved the desk out of the way of the door, and charged out, giving any eBrazilian who wanted it some hot lead. There was nothing like it, the thrill of near death, the adrenaline.
It was hard work, and I nearly made it to friendly lines, nearly, before having my legs pumped full of shrapnel from a nearby grenade.
Luckily, as the eAustralian military force was pulling out, I was spotted, and hauled to safety.

I recovered later in hospital, but Western Australia was lost, and news reached my ears that the Northern Territory was also being invaded.
And I hoped, hoped that we would drive out those eBrazilian scum from eAustralia, and even launch a counter attack of our own.
But for now, I sit in my hospital bed, waiting for the next battle, so I could inflict as much damage as I could.
