There are way too many inneffective ways of solving this "goon" issue out there. Has no one really tried implementing our real life solutions to this? Real life has helped me solve many issue over the years and it can help you too.

I have heard people proposing having citizens be a part of ERepublik for 3 months to be a presidential candidate or having all of us move to Mexico for the weekend and vote pro-Mexican. Seriously? Just implement more methods closer to those in RL that can disqualify a person for presidential candidacy. Don't presidents have to be a certain age in order to run our country? Be natural born citizens? Have either helped declare our independence, held some sort of political officer prior to being nominated, or been in a movie?

If there was simply a system where a person had to be mayor or congressman before running for president, this entire problem would be fixed. No "goon" is going to stick around that long just to mess with some online community. Even if they did, shouldn't there be a way to, I don't know, somehow take them out of office with a popular vote against him? Impeachment?

Nice alternative. I believe you could have elaboraed on more ideas though, because you seem to have many ideas on this subject.

I believe that somebody should be a Congressman before being President. Since Congress has to vote on the actions of the President and deal with such nation impacting issues, that it qualifies somebody to be president. But you only want to restrict a president based on be certain they understand all aspects of the nation and game. You DO NOT want to restrict the presidency based on preservation of ideas, policies, change, etc... Each president who is elected by the people should implement the ideals the people hold who elected him/her. They shouldn\'t be restricted.

well i dont think they will give up if they lose the president its my geuss they would just try to gain many local levals but i really like that idea of 3 months for president maybe a month and ahalf to run for mayor
