The End of an Era

According to my wikipedia page I have been either the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or CP on and off since September 2015. This is a bloody long time.

The problem with roles such as MInister of Foreign Affairs is that forigs and the like tend to get accustom to having the same contact in governments, meaning this role can become something of a on man job. I took over from eternal MoFA Fataliix, and have gone on to do the role even longer than him I suppose.

Now this has indeed been helpful in establishing relationships with our allies. They have always had a face to turn to when wanting to contact the United Kingdom. In most cases they have grown to like me and respect me, probably moreso than the citizens of the United Kingdom 😃

Admittedly in public accountability I have been weak. Not as many articles have been published as what should have been in this two year period. But at the same time, I must have been doing a good job behind the scenes. Otherwise why would people keep me around to do the job. So some criticism I have and most undoubtedly will receive in the comments below are well founded. But a lot is unfounded. I have done a lot behind the scenes, and there is clearly a reason different governments chose to keep me around as a constant face in eUK politics.

In my time as MoFA we have seen a lot of things. We have seen the complete turn around of hating ORION and being constantly bombarded by them, to being one of their most loyal members, and now even with their first eUK Secretary General. This has been a success so far I believe, and will be a long prosperous alliance for the near future.

Now to cut a long story short, due to a multitude of reasons mostly being I am working in the United States of America IRL for four months IRL from June until September, as well as being burnt out by the role to little appreciation, I am decided to retire from the role of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom for the near future as of the 5th May CP election. A return may happen one day ;P We will see. I may serve cabinets in other capacities, but from June I will not have the access to do any more than two click, and I am losing the patience required to fill out such a role.
So thank you for having me serve you for the past two years, even when many of you did not want it, and in closing, I hope we can all agree that I was a much better MoFA than Country President
