The EDEN Frenzy

Back in the USA

First off, I had fun going to a few AWESOME countries with my past three articles (yeah, that means you Canada, Croatia, and Spain!) and I'd love to keep doing articles like that. Our allies are stalwart heroes that we've had to lean on more than once, and they deserve some praise every so often. My only regret is that I didn't have time to go to a few more countries and do the same thing with them (Australia, China, Japan, even Poland jump to mind). Unfortunately we've had a bit of a crisis here in the USA. The Media has exploded with either pro-EDEN articles or anti-EDEN articles, and as Secretary of State I feel that it is my duty to explain what's going on, and because I like to talk, you'll also get a bit of my take on the issue.

This is NOT a pro or anti EDEN article!



America, first off, take a chill pill. Whenever an article about a possible change in game philosophy comes out, a half dozen politicos come out to give their takes on it, and argue ad-nauseum. I'm not one to stifle debate, in fact, I would encourage anyone who has an opinion to submit it, but I encourage this is a more private setting. The eUSA Forums are a great place to get some input, and any Congressman or ex-President that would like to submit their opinion there is welcome to! Writing an article, though, casts a lot of our problems into the broad daylight in order to be picked up upon by our enemies, who I remind you, are STILL Phoenix. A dispute with our allies, no matter how severe, does not change the fact that the countries of Phoenix would still be elated to see us destroyed, and they'll use any means to do it, whether that is attacking us directly, or misquoting our politicos in propaganda.

Now, in order for the US populace to understand what's going on, allow me to explain this calmly. Over the past few weeks there have been a number of disagreements and honest accidents between the eUSA and EDEN. The USA isn't trying to undermine EDEN, but we do seem to have different goals than EDEN. At this juncture there's a lot of tension between EDEN HQ and the US Government. Let me say this loudly enough to be heard, though:

EDEN ARE STILL OUR ALLIES!

The USA has good relations with many countries, even if they are currently a bit strained. We don't dislike Poland, or Croatia, or Spain, or any of EDEN. Yes we disagree, currently, but that doesn't mean that we're about to foresake our allies. We will continue to have MPPs with these countries, and we have not forgotten the sacrifices they have made for us. It doesn't matter whether EDEN continues to stand firm against Phoenix, or if it goes the way of ATLANTIS, those countries will still be our friends, and we will still continue to have MPPs with them.

What's next?



We have Bros around the world that we're going to keep sticking up for. Currently the Brolliance only officially has EDEN countries in it, but we have bros sticking up for us around the world. In my opinion, and the opinion of the government currently, it's time to make it official that whether you're EDEN or neutral, if you're a bro, you can count on us. Countries like China, Japan, Croatia, and India have all done some pretty awesome things for us, and we owe it to them to make an official statement that we bros'll stick together. What I have proposed, and what the President, PigInZen, has agreed with, is the expansion of the brolliance (or even the formation of a completely new friendship treaty), to include the full extent of our bros around the world. What we want to see is a mutual defense organization, focused on protecting each other, and doing whatever it takes to keep our bros safe. Some of you don't remember the invasion, many of you do, but at one time in our history we were willing to sacrifice regions, trading them off in order to secure the greater good. Our Bros did the same thing for us. We had, and have, allies that would let a region of their own go, in order to focus on an particularly important battle, and we need to get back to that mindset.
