Day 1,502, 09:55 Published in Sweden United Kingdom by Spite313

To those of you reading this in Sweden, or around the world, consider this a somewhat enlightening look into the UK’s internal affairs. For those of you in the UK itself, or rather those of you with UK citizenship (thanks for that Terra) read on and comment. There won't be pictures, or fancy graphics. Just the truth.

Dear friends,

Six months ago the UK embarked on a war against Ireland. At the time it was declared as an endless war, and despite multiple invasions of the UK- some from Ireland and some from Canada- it didn’t end until a week ago when we were finally wiped.

That war brought us fun, resources, activity and a natural enemy bonus. It drained Terra, it frustrated EDEN and it drove a wedge between Canada and their allies. It served its purpose, and it is a purpose it still serves. The UK must be freed, but the war will not end then. It will never end.

We are a small but strong community. I hope that, despite the squabbling, we are a realistic group. We knew that a three way invasion would end in defeat for us, but we didn’t just lie down and take it. We fought on three fronts and scored victories against all the odds. We moved to the countries of the enemy and we took their gains from them via RW. We attacked their economy, their colonies, we did everything we could to ruin them more than they could ruin us.

We did our best, and even our enemies recognise that our fight has been a valiant one.

This war and this occupation has taught us many things. It’s taught us about the value of an active forum community, and the value of IRC. Many new citizens have signed up to our offsite forums in the past weeks. The truth we learned here is that we can lose regions, but the forums and IRC rooms which actually form the backbone of our community can’t be attacked. They link every eBrit in the world, however far they might wander, and call them home.

We learned as well that our armed forces were not up to scratch. Not because we lost, but because our supply lines and organisations- stretched already- were breaking under the strain of too much organisation with too few organisers. Rather than moaning about indiduals, we need to find solutions. Thos solutions will not be easy for some but they will, over time, deliver results.

The UK Special Forces, an elite unit of fifty men, will be supplied to the eyeballs with weapons and will become a super-mobile elite force. They’ll be the sword of the new UK. The rest of our population cannot be managed in one huge monolithic organisation any longer. The skills needed to do so are better managed locally by small, self-financing groups responsible to and supplemented by the Military High Command.

These new armies which will emerge will provide community, damage and organisation by combining the central financial power of the nation with the individual wealth of our people. We will supply more, we will supply better and we will supply more frequently than we could do as one large national army.

The private wealth of the UK is one thing which has never been harnessed by successive governments. However the game is slowly changing to be one where the individual is far more important than the state in financial terms, and we have to come to accept this change or fall behind. As such, there will no longer be a nanny state which recruits you at birth, trains and supplies you until you die. You will need to find or be found by your own regiment.

In the face of these changes, I have stepped up to begin the formation of a unit. With others of like mind, I hope to create a military unit unmatched in UK history. In time it will form three distinct battalions to cater to all players. The super elite unit, which will be open to all allied citizens, will supply 20 Q6 weapons each day, plus top ups available on IRC up to a maximum of whatever you’re willing to tank. The middle regiment will be open to UK citizens and will provide weapons and food comparable to the old Army/Navy organisation. The last regiment will act as a community for citizens without the time or who are uninterested in the other two units. It will also be a recruiting ground.

The future of the UK has never been more in your hands. Will you join with me and make the changes we need to survive, or will we fall into inactivity and death? Now more than ever we need to be united in our stand.

We have an enemy to kill.
