The Economic Spin - Your Opinion?

Greeting, citizens of eWorld,
in the last few days, we have been "showered" by series of "events" (if you can call them with that word) from Plato. Most of them seems to be oriented to pump more Gold to the game, at the expense of currency (especially with the Power Spin, where the people I know were willing to burn thousands hundreds of currency to get to the Jackpot - while I am here sitting with lousy 5 000 currency on my account from the very beginning!! ). After the huge rise in Gold value (with 1 Gold being sold for over 850 currency), some sort of change is certainly welcomed by many players, who find currency more and more useless, given its inflation and the loss of ability to make COs.
Of course, with that, a lot of questions come to the mind, and I would like to collect your opinion in the comments on those questions, so I can make my head clearer on the issue:
- Will more of these "events" appear in upcoming months? Is this prelude to something bigger waiting to be implemented? Or just a random shot into the dark?
- Does this mean COs are not coming back, so admins will have to introduce other ways to reduce the amount of currency stashed in our accounts?
- Will these events have long-lasting impact on the economy? We see Gold price dropping down these days, and price of houses and other products as well, as people are trying to get more currency to spin for the Jackpot - however, once the events are over, how long is the effect of these events going to last?
- And how about pack prices?
- What was the main thought of admins, before they suddenly released the events without any prior warning? What did they want to achieve, and why?

Well a lot of currency disappeared, but on the other hand a lot of currency is bought with gold. In the end this would mean that both currency and gold will have more value again, since there is less. This will lead to more gold buying by players, since they are getting more for their RL money. I wonder what this will do to weapon prices and salaries.
I think it is a good way to remove the currency.
Many people gave about 500-600k cc in order to get 500 gold + a few EB, which is acceptable 🙂
This would make more battles.
But the problem is that the Evil forces now rule the eEworld 🙁

i think plato need to collect all real money to their side. but it's only temporary. depends on how many cc burned for that spin. if >75% cc used for that spin, it's will impact to market price and treasury must contribute to circulating cc.
I think the erepublik players are negative as a default. Whatever is introduced gets tonns of complaints and whining. Any event or special occasion in erepublik pretty much brings out the very worst of the players.
Personally though, I've enjoyed it. Earned a lot of gold these past weeks, and had "fun" gaining it.

Oh is there an event going on? Well the wheel of disappearing cash is kinda funny, at least that is activating people to post tons of comments how much has been spent and what they have "won". Best entertainment value is to check how gold prices changes 😃 .
