Join the new world

I thought I'd write something about my first days on E-republik (45 days so far)

Firstly, I went straight into a battle as soon as I signed up. Wasted a lot of food, weapons and any freebies I had and was soon stuck with no food, no health and no way of working either.

Thankfully a helping hand donated me some food and I was back and ready to go.

With my first few bits of gold I bought some new raw material factories and did what I needed to do to complete the various missions that came up.

The days passed and I seemed to get into a decent rhythm but still felt the game was a little slow. I built more factories and even bought a weapons company.

Finally, after maybe about a fortnight, boredom really did strike.

So I ventured onto the IRC, joined the military unit and political party of the person who introduced me to the game and got myself a military job with jamesw.

I was now getting 20 Q5 tanks per day, quickly managed to become a member of the UKSF and was managing to complete the daily orders in 2 sittings each day (the 500 health refill from my Town Centre was now becoming rather handy)

So I'm now stock piling food, weapons, raw materials, bazookas and thinking I can cash in on the stuff I don't use. At this exact moment the market crashes and my stock won't sell.

I've completed all the missions I can but am now stuck with the really annoying "introduce some friends" ones that just seem to get in the way.

I'm still sitting on a large stock-pile of food and weapons in the hope that one day the market will pick up. Who knows? Definitely not me but I'm hoping it does.

The realisation that you can only do so much per day quickly sunk in but this can be expanded so much if you know the right people and join the right IRC groups.

Other than a couple of issues with some missions sticking such as the Bazooka one which saw me waste many Bazooka's and still holds my record for highest battle damage (day 1586, Sweden 87k), the game is running quite smoothly.

I've moved from my job with jamesw and am now working for Kravenn. I'm not getting quite as much I did with james but the 14 Q6 tanks are very handy (not that I've used them yet as I'm still eating away at my Q5 stockpile).

I've now reached level 25 and am a Commander***. Looking at the exp needed to increase rank, it's going to be a while before they change again. Strength is coming along nicely now and is around 650 and it won't be long before I get my 3rd SS medal. Some new missions that increase strength would be extremely welcome. Thinking about it, any new missions would be welcome as long as the 3 clogging up my mission box disappear!

I've got 3 weapons companies and 3 food companies (1 Q2 and 2 Q1), 4 fruit orchards, 3 grain farms, 1 aluminium mine, 2 oil rigs and 1 iron mine.

I'm now training 20 strength per day thanks to the Q3 upgrades, producing plenty of weapons and food, and am even venturing into politics. Although I think the last one may be delayed slightly due to some aggressive movements by the USA.

So, there it is; my first 45 days on E-Republik.

Slightly better than my first article, I'll admit. 😉 Maybe next time I'll work out how to include some more pretty pictures and formatting.
