I don't know what I would do without Whitelaw. Everyone should have a Willy.
Margaret Thatcher

Before I begin, I recommend everyone checks out the Ministry of Home Affairs most recent news article (Meeting the Ministries and How to get Involved, written by the excellent wordsmith Kevy Shawodywody. Also, feel free to subscribe to his world renowned newspaper (population statistics.

He’s still recovering from the election 🙁

It’s been quite a quiet time here in the eUK political scene (once more). You can probably assume that our transitional period between alliances and a lack of political confrontation between congressional parties has led to a lack of debate and sorts. However, government is consistently busy, and we would always love to have more applicants. The article I posted above should explain a bit more.

So without further ado, let’s get straight to business.

Congressional Discussions

As many of you must be aware by now, our Natural Enemy TW with Canada has officially ended. The lawls associated with fighting our previous monthly invader has helped heal some old wounds, and has helped develop the relations between our two states. But considering this war was only temporary, it’s safe to say congress and the government will continue in our quest for more fun and extra strength for the eUK.

Your daily cat supplement has just been fulfilled

Also updated was our welcoming message seen by all new citizens of the eUnited Kingdom. It’s just a clear-up of the odd spelling mistakes on December message (when Jhorlin was last president) and was easily passed in game.

Finally, the past week saw only one vote put up for congress, where Iain Keers was proposed to rejoin Congress’ Senior Committee (essentially allowing him to contribute to all discussions). As one of the eWorld’s leading economists and diplomats, having someone of Keers calibre advising congress is always a positive, and I’m sure that his contribution will be as valued as a barely legal stripper at a Bunga Bunga party.

Making the economy understandable

Public Discussion

The two main Public Discussions happening this week were the MoT Business Expansion Grant and the Anti-Feminism Act.

The Grant would essentially remove the countless GBP produced during the Plato Spending Spree (another great initiative by the guys who brought you eRepublik Rising). However, the initiative has fallen into difficulties, with Kevy Shawodywody (who was recently appointed Minister of Trade) raising concerns regarding how the government can actually ensure that all cheap GBP purchased from the government is drained from the economy. However, if you have an idea on what you could do to make this scheme work, feel free to drop a message on the comments.

And we move on to my favourite proposal of this year. I believe you could better understand the proposal by reading in full 😛

Anti-Feminism Act

Purpose: This act fights against feminism and hereby declares that the only legal woman in the eUK is Artela.

Procedure
1. Users whom petition to be women will be regarded as suspicious. The trolling community will be encouraged to undertake the responsibilities of obtaining evidence.
- Users who fail said test of evidence will be regarded as men, and probably paedophiles.
- Users who prove said women test will be put on an ‘approved women’ list with Artela, in the House of Commons public viewing forum
.

2. Feminism is banned, as it is evil and transforms women into the creature such as Meghan.
- Caught feminists will be burnt at the stake, and then sold to foreign witch doctors.
- Escaped foreigners will be tried as pirates, and will be trained as assassins to film Kill Bill 3
.

I’m sure you will agree that Sir Humphrey Appleby (who coincidentally is my right hand man in pure dastardly here at the MoHA) has clearly assessed the situation correctly. I implore my 10 readers to search out all feminists and report them directly to Tomazim for processing, alongside messaging your congressmen directly to ensure this act passes.

Other than that, we have had a little bit of baww regarding Natural Enemy and some more clearing up of Legislation Procedures. Other than that, it’s as active as a Hindu burger van.

Feminism does this to you

Conlusion

It has been quite an uneventful week in the life of congress. Although we have had the needed anti feminist proposal, experimental monetary proposals and that dastardly Iain Keers returning once more to terrorize us poor ol congressmen. But who says politics in eRepublik is boring, hey?
