The Death of Gold Tanking

I remember 9 months back when sights of people like Romper, Colin, Kualkerr doing close to a million damage in a single mini battle were quite common. These folks used to single handedly win battles while people like me would make their piddly contribution of 30-40 K and watch that getting lost under the heap of someone's gold.
There was clamor all over for limiting gold tanking and the response seen from admins was to limit gold receipt by an individual to 10 G a day (except if you are buying it from admins). The media all over the world was resonating with how the admins screwed up again.
But I guess we all got it wrong. The 10 G limit was not to do with gold tanking but to prevent multi gold issues. Most of the tankers like Romper buy gold from admins directly and that still didnt have any limit.
But then came the sledge hammer. First the FF limit increased to 500 and then to 2400 (if you are a maniac who will get the max out of the daily food limit). That changed the whole ball game. Suddenly gold tanking became 8 times more expensive. Let me explain with an illustration
I personally hit 3000 influence with a single q5 hit. With 300 wellness recovery limit, i would do about 90 K influence in a day a couple months back. An opposing tank like Kualkerr who does 4686 influence per hit, needed just 20 gold hits to counter my 1 day's damage, translating to 10 G in total
Come today, and with the same 3000 influence per hit, I can do 720K per day. And in the same comparison, to counter me, Kualkerr needs to do 160 hits or spend 80G. In a nutshell, the effective cost of gold tanking just shot up by 8 times. Suddenly Gold beasts are only 1/8th of their original selves.. Merely a faint shadow 😉

Look at it another way. 3 months back, when a q5 was selling at .5 G, cost of a single food hit with q5 was .15 G and cost of a gold hit was .6 G. So a gold hit was 4 times the cost of a food hit
Today, cost of a single food hit with q5 is 0.0125 G and cost of a gold hit is 0.51 G. A startling 40 times difference. so 40 food hits at the cost of 1 gold hit. So a country would rather have 40 soldiers with 400 influence than 1 super tank with 4000. The 40 noob soldiers will make 4 times the damage than the tanker at the same cost...
Hence the direct impact of gold on battles has diminished significantly. The same is visible in existing world war, where ONE that relies more on many medium to high strength tanks is just breezing thru one EDEN/TERRA country after another.
All said and done, I think admins are much smarter than what we give them credit for. Look at it objectively.. The game is successful when more people join it and not if some people buy a lot of gold (the difference between profitability and short term Profits). And the recent changes in economy and war module have again made the strength of a country directly proportional to the number of citizens it has. With skill factor removed and with 240 fights a day, the tenure in game has suddenly lost a lot of sheen and the ability of noobs to start making an impact faster has suddenly shot up. And with ability to gain 25 strength every day thru gold, a noob can gain in 6 months that earlier took 10 months to gain ..
So here's a toast to the setting sun on the era of Gold Beasts and re-emergence of the FOODIES 🙂

It took a while but it seems the Admins finaly lost their need for cash and thus made Gold less important. Is this a change that has never seen before in this game!?

There will be even more gold purchase inflow to the admins as tanks to stay on top need to spend about 3-4 g a day for str trainings. Besides fighting 3-4 full fights a day, will need food, weapons... This time instead of targetting the gold tankers they have simply created in everyone a need to buy gold... But if not an end to gold tanking, it will definitely be lesser than before!!

Except now ONE is outputting insanely large damage off only food fights, making gold tanking even more vital for EDEN and friends if they want to win anything.
So what's stopping the gold tankers from spending what they did before? add the usual 500g to 2000g each they tanked everyday If they did that now they would still own battles, nothing has changed except for allowing EVERYBODY to fight 240 times a day and increasing gold training. And most people can't fight 240 times a day nor gold train to 25 strength daily due to it's too expensive to do so. Multis are now not just farmers but fighters too which is the main problem and gold tanking will re-emerge as it always does as a new breed of suckers is always around the corner.😛
HT8 and Hinokai.. The problem is that spending the same amount of GOld, the gold tankers will now effectively only do 1/8th the damage since food fights damage has gone up by 8 times (in best case)
Unfortunately, this solution has created another problem which is much more immense than the tankers. The multi-armies are now reign supreme as they do vast amounts of damage for a fraction of the cost even of a ordinary player.
I'm preparing an article about it right now, but in a nutshell, mutlies do around 8-10% of the total damage daily, this is more then the tanks ever did.
The last changes with the training actually favor the tanks very much, as they can easily finance training with medals, while the general population will not fork up the cash anymore than they did before, so the difference in strength will start to grow and their relative cost will start going down again.
Next step will be a devaluation of the amount of damage people do under some form, to get everyone closer again. Unfortunately the admins don't have the slightest idea how to manage numbers and they only react to the problem and with every reaction only exasperate it.

Dude, do you seem to think that Kaulkerr and alike don't get food fights?
Are they exempt from fighting with food? They will Food Fight just like the rest of us then gold tank just the same as they used too on top, you gotta realise these guys have spent literally tens of thousands of RL $$ on pixels and simply don't care about their bank balance as it is now a race to be Gods of War and bragging rights.
People play games to be the best and for fun, Admins have killed the fun aspect so to be the best Admins have cunningly let you spend unlimited $$ to do so, it's a disturbing game in that respect and no other game around that i know of is anywhere near as costly if you wish to be the best.
Top tankers in this game have reportedly spent in the vicinity of $50k USD to be the best, and for what? Shitty pixels with headless chickens and a changing format that has gone backwards since V2.
