The Comeback

Greetings my fellow citizens, it is indeed I the player formally known as Gulden Draak, now playing under the profile Sir Gulden Draak. For those unfamiliar with my previous work here is a quick recap. I used to be a media titan, and I was Vice President under Alexander Hamilton, also I did some other government stuff of some minor importance. I have decided to rejoin eRepublik mostly out of boredom, but I still believe there is some fun left to be had in the game and that is the topic I wish to address today.

This game as been compared to a sandbox before and I think that is a prefect analogy. The admins have created the borders around our box and filled it with sand. It is up to us to build castles in it, or in some players case piss in it. Since I started playing this game a few years ago, the sandbox has definitely gotten smaller. There are more restrictions and less startegy than there used to be, but that is neither here or there now. The point I am trying to make is that while the box may be smaller there is still sand in the box and it is up to us to use every grain at our disposal.



Use the grains, become the grains

That is partly the reason I returned, and it is something I want to impart unto you. My vision is that we as a nation, along with our allies utilize our sandbox to the fullest extent. Let us use the sand to build what no one thought was possible. Sure we may fail from time to time, and our castles may collapse, but in the end it is all just sand and we can always rebuild. You see my dear friends, as long as there is sand left in the box and you have not become so jaded as to piss in it, the game will always be worth playing.
