The Case for Change - Brolitics instead of Politics

In only a few hours, voting will begin, and eJapan will decide where it will go next.

Many have said that this is the first "real" election in months, and that they are happy that there is a choice. I couldn't agree more. Tomorrow, eJapan decides whether it wants to have a President - and a qualified at that as well, ExReality has been involved in running this country like no other person in the last months - or whether the community as a whole wants to collectively decide on issues and try itself at an inclusive decision making process involving all parts of our esociety.

I wish to thank those that have allowed me to campaign for my community governing idea - the ULJ, the Scapegoats, the Shinsengumi, but also all other individuals and unaligned people, such as Hitoshi Makoto, who have thrown their support behind the ideas I have been advocating. The fact that the ULJ could not extend an ingame endorsement is unfortunate, but as Party President, ecka has nevertheless indicated his endorsement in an article.

There are certainly a lot of issues we have to address, foreign policy wise, economy wise, activity wise, and they are issues that have never really changed over the more than two years that I have now been in this country. It is my hope that we can come together as a community and try a different approach in dealing with these issues - which is the reason for my campaign.

This campaign has never been primarily about getting me elected somewhere though in any case. I believe that the issue of collective responsibility and community governance are issues that go beyond one campaign, beyond one presidency and beyond party divides. Whatever party we may be in, whether we are gamers or roleplayers, there are issues that concern us all, and I hope that my embedding my message into a presidential campaign, I have reached more ears than I could have had by other means.

Whatever the outcome of tomorrow's election may be, I feel that a continued dialog about community inclusion will be needed. This is the crunch question.

If a critical discussion is spawned due to this presidential race, then my campaign was a success.
