The Bundeswehr and the Battle of Northern Bohemia

Day 1,009, 19:51 Published in Germany Germany by Alex Drex

Here's a little background information: Yesterday morning at about 7am (Pacific time) I went to the doctor's and had my wisdom teeth removed. My jaw is swollen and I am slightly drugged up, and I have had nothing to do. Except play lots of eRepublik.... \o/

Yesterday Germany attacked Northern Bohemia, Poland. I got on IRC and awaited orders from my commander. Finally I received the order to deploy and fight. Although I missed most of the actual fighting, during the first attack, because I had to go take more medicine (RAGEEEE). I deployed after we had taken the Hospital and proceeded to capture tiles and fight back the enemy as much as I could. I was just getting started, but it was getting late in Germany...

After already fighting for awhile many RL Germans and RL Poles began to log off and go to bed, since I am from the US IRL, I was just getting started. Before one of the Germans logged off of IRC (I don't remember who, unfortunately) they said to me "When I get back I want to see a red map." So I did my best to comply with this wish!

see map in the bottom corner of picture. 😁 This was taken right before more Germans started to wake up to fight again.

I had captured 64 tiles while my fellow soldiers were sleeping. 😃

More soldiers on both sides began to log on and the fighting resumed. Shortly after day change waves of German soldiers and Polish soldiers rushed the battle to gain control of the hospital. Germany held on to the hospital long enough to wear down the attackers, since we were being healed and they were not. All of my 300 health points from food were already used up shortly after day change, meaning I was either stuck at the hospital, or I could risk going out to capture some more tiles. I was already at about 80 tiles by this point, and we had beaten back most of the Polish offensive, and it looked pretty clear, so I set out to achieve my goal of 100 tiles captured.

Right as we had pushed back the main Polish attack on the hospital

After awhile, and some good luck not getting killed (if I had been attacked one more time I would have been out of the battle as I had no more food health points left, or gold for wellness packs) I finally achieved my goal. Shortly after getting just above 100 tiles captured I had been killed, too. I got pretty lucky. 😁

104 tiles captured in the entire battle by me. Although I think next time I will focus on damage some more, I had a terrible kill/death ratio. xD

This has been my longest battle, and probably most successful, in all of my eRep life. I joined the battle at about 8pm my time (maybe even a little before, I do not remember), and logged off at 6am the next morning. I spent over 10 hours of my time fighting in this single battle. Luckily I had nothing to do, damn wisdom teeth... xD

I went to bed at 6am and woke up at 1:50pm, hopped on the computer anxious to see if the final attack that I would not be able to attend was successful, and if we had won the battle. I was pleased to see that we had. To me, this was one of the most exciting experiences in my entire eLife. I am pretty sure I win the biggest waste of time award, and biggest loser. 😁

Thanks to everyone on both sides that made that battle so much fun. I can say that the military module in v2 is way more fun when you are fighting with some mates. (It can really suck when you're on a map all by yourself though. lol.)

Also, KSK III is the best! \o/ The Bundeswehr is the greatest, and full of awesome, dedicated soldiers and great commanders and strategists!

Finally, for those of you out there who are not involved in the military, I strongly encourage you to get involved. The Bundeswehr is extremely fun, and one of the key factors that has kept me playing this game and keeping it fun every day. If you're looking to optimize your eRepublik experience and truly have a good time, I suggest signing up. You'll meet some of the coolest people in eRepublik and have a great time. Get out there and sign up, then get ready to kick some enemy ass! o>

P.S. you can check my images for time stamps. Don't have one at 8, but the one I have about midnight is the one showing the 64 tiles, meaning I had already been there for awhile, and I have one at like 5 something or six.

P.P.S. FUCK YEAH BUNDESWEHR!

Thanks for reading my long, rambling article!
