The Belgian Socialist Party [BSP]

Day 970, 22:52 Published in Belgium Belgium by Kylero

I would like to formally introduce the Belgian Socialist Party (formerly the Belgian Research Party). My hope for the BSP is to create a faction dedicated to promoting a fair and just society by advocating for the fair distribution of wealth among eBelgians. We desire to form a strong government that provides for the general welfare of its citizens.

I am going to list the principles of Marxism and how the BSP wishes to address each in eBelgium.

The Ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx

1. Abolition of private property in land and application of all rents of land to public purpose: In eRep, I equate this to private ownership of raw materials. The BSP views State-Run Raw companies as the best solution to ensure that wealth remains in the hands of the masses, and not in the pockets of the Capitalist.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax: In eRep we are unable to institute a progressive tax structure, so this is tough to replicate.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance: Again, this is tough to replicate, but we would like to encourage all departing players, for whatever reason, to donate their wealth to the National Bank, instead of friends, or just keeping it as they die.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels: See above as it is kind of similar.
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly: This we enjoy in eBelgium already. We are in favor of our National Bank and the concentration of state wealth to finance the welfare state.
6. Centralization of the means of communication and transportation in the hands of the state: We commend the state papers we have in our country. As for transportation, an ideal situation would be to run all MT companies.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan: We strive to make sure that people are put before profits, to do so requires large State-Run companies, which we continue to promote.
8. Equal obligation of all to work: We do this through State-Run companies. We want the workers to be paid a living wage for their productive activities.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the population over the country: See above. The second thing is hard to achieve based on mechanics.
10. Free education for all children in government schools: While we don't have schools, the BSP wishes to promote game education to all new citizens. We endorse citizen.info announcements that teach citizens game mechanics.

So as you can see, there are things we can and can't do based on game mechanics, but overall, I'd say eBelgium is on the right course to becoming a society based on justice and equality.

Thank you reading this and the Belgian Socialist Party is place you should be. Also, if you want to run for Congress on the 25th under the BSP banner, contact me ASAP!
