The Battle for Western Australia [Undeniable Proof of Aussie Victory]

Day 873, 01:50 Published in USA USA by Rick von Ruger

Dear Readers,

As you may or may not know, an epic eRepublic battle has taken place. The Australian region of Western Australia was attacked by Indonesian forces at 23:32 eRep on day 871. The Indonesians mounted a fierce offensive in the first few minutes of the battle, and I was there when eUS forces retaliated in defense of our bro, Australia. The resulting clash was one of sheer force and utter awe. But the truly epic battle would come the next day.

By around 14:30 eRep day 872, Indo and allied Phoenix forces had pushed Western Australia -600k into the red. But Australia and her allies had not given up hope. From that point in the day onward, allied forces acting in defense of WA pushed the invading forces back. Slowly but surely the tide was turning. By 22:00 eRep, it was nearly a stalemate, and evident that a massive battle was about to ensue.

In the final minutes of the battle, all hell was breaking loose. Both sides were giving everything they had and then some. In the midst of the chaos, the timer of the battle continued to wind down. 24 hours after the battle had begun, at 23:33 eRep, the timer expired. Naturally, since a clear victor was undistinguishable, according to the rules of eRepublik the battle went into overtime. The rules for an overtime battle mandate that once either the attackers or the defenders reach their margin of victory the battle ceases and the victor is declared. For what seemed like an eternity after the clock reached 0:00:00, the battle raged on. Continuously after overtime had begun, Australian and allied forces pushed the attackers out of the land. At no point during this time did enemy forces manage to overrun these defenses. Allied forces looked at eachother in confusion. The battle had already been won, but for some strange reason victory was never declared... I offer to you now undisputable evidence of this victory.

As you can see in this picture, the clock is clearly expired. The time says 23:43 eRep, several minutes after the battle should have ended. And the wall is clearly above the "secure" point.

This picture shows an even earlier (23:37 eRep) and even wider margin of victory. Again, the time is clearly up, and the region is obviously "secured."

Here is yet another pic showing the wall above secure with time expired. However the eRep timestamp cannot be seen. When exactly this one was taken is uncertain. What is clear, however is that the region is secure with time expired.

If you need more proof, watch these videos:

They also affirm what these screenshots and many players out there have been witness to. A battle which was clearly won.

For several minutes after the battle had ended, eAustralian and allied forces remained in a position of victory. Those who were more closely watching would have seen that at the actual time the battle ended the region was also secured. I do not have a screenshot of that moment, but the video links prove it. The battle itself was clearly bugged, hacked, or just plain ignored by the admins.

After the server reset, thinking the battle had been won, our forces were given the order to stand down. Not because we were no longer able or willing to fight, but because we were certain that the battle was over. For whatever reason, the battle never ceased. At 0:22 eRep on day 873, the battle was declared overrun by invading forces. Almost a full hour after the battle had already been won.

I implore you, the reader, not to allow this injustice to persist. Please vote, subscribe, shout, and comment this article until this flaw in game mechanics is fixed. We fought hard. And we did not fight in vain.

Thanks much to 'Advanced Composites' for commenting with the following info: In Australia's events, at precisely the time the WA battle should have ended, it says that "Sorlandet was secured by Australia in the war vs Indonesia." Not only was there not a battle taking place there, the event occurred when the battle in WA should have closed. This is evidence of a major bug/glitch.

This is a screenshot with the event highlighted. But go see for yourself:
