The Army is Still Alive!
Moishe
From General Armandez:
To all who are interested, the Army is alive and well. Alright perhaps it is not 100% well but it is still kicking and definitely getting better. With the support of President Scrabman, SecDef Leroy Combs, Chairman of the JCS (and Marine Commandant) Eugene Harlot, and General Istarlan of the National Guard things are on an upswing!
First off we are proud to announce that the Army will be appointing one of its more active Officers to manage our Recruitment Program. We are still working out some kinks but the Army is accepting applications and will be assigning people to active units as fast as we can get to them. We ask the Citizens of the USA to forgive us for our past failings. We will not insult your intelligence by offering lame excuses or trying to toss the blame onto others. All we can ask is that you continue to support us as we work to overcome what has been a long dry spell. For those eager to get going on an Army career, please, fill out the application located on this page. (You will be re-directed to the Recruitment Form.)
While we shall still maintain our Military forums in conjunction with the Marines (Oooh-rah!) and National Guard (Hoooah!) someone from the Army will make a regular appearance on the Official eUSA forums on a regular basis to answer questions and try to handle any problems that may occur. We are only human and problems will most definitely turn up. We are, however, placing a special emphasis on handling these things as expeditiously as possible.
To those who are curious about the change in command all we can say is that stuff happens. This is not the first time the Army has had to change Command. Like all enterprises even in the Army people get burnt out and need a break. Just as it has been true in other offices - like that of Presidents who have chosen to retire after two terms - it is also true in the Army. This has been true since the days of Dishmcds, the Founder of the eUSA Military. It was true when others took the mantle for a while and then had to pass it on due to the extensive demands the job places on the holder. One day it shall happen to me. I hope to have an excellent replacement prepared for that eventuality. I already have some excellent officers and I hope I can count on their assistance during this rebirth.
Concerning some things that we have planne
😛we hope to be able to create a Special Forces Division, perhaps called the “Ranger”, or the e501st, or something truly elite to handle those Military oriented individuals who are waiting to move on to the Marines. Who knows? Perhaps they will even stay with the Army!
We are also planning on assigning a Public Relations Officer to keep people abreast of those things we can announce and still maintain National Security.
So, the Army is alive and well! Recruitment Officer! Public Relations Officer! Advanced Special Forces Division! And all because President Scrabman and his Administration cared enough to keep working with the Army!
Just as our President has said big things are coming our way, so am I. The Army is here to stay!
Hoooah!

NOTE: I would like to see all of our Army Officers and Staff comment on this to assure the Citizens of the eUSA that they also appreciate their support. Thanks.

good article!
I applied a week ago, and still haven't heard back.
A week is not a long time for a group both re-organizing and composed strictly of volunteers. Contact Armandez directly via a message.
Go Army!
Good article.
This was a triumph, I'm making a note here.
Go Army! Voted.
hmmm, this almost convences me to join the army. And no I dont want to hear anything about the jarheads. They just make a miss, its us Rangers that do the real work. 😛
Go Army!
Does it count if I'm on the eGuard?
Why can't SHE be President?
I have been with the Army only a short while but I am very impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the leadership and troops.
To those who are skeptical I understand your perspective. But we are moving forward to streamline communication, organize and maximize our firepower. This is an exciting time for the Army and I hope that anyone who is on the fence will join us, all are welcome!
While I'm not a definitive resource I will be on until ~930pm PST and am happy to field any questions via PM or on the Army forum.
Go Army!

GO ARMY!
I have been very fortunate to have been with the Army for nearly my entire time in eRep. Never before have I seen more teamwork and positive direction than in the past week. Some very good things are happening with the Army.
I credit the dedicated officers, the incredibly loyal troops and the supporters that have kept faith that there were some very solid people still working hard. Thanks Scrab, Commandant Harlot, Moishe, Leroy, General Armandez and General Istarlan!
Oooorahhh!

Go Army (National Guard)! (HAHAHAHAHA!)
but yeah seriously, GO AMERICA! GO eUS MILITARY! WOO!
And Ranger's sounds good.
I have no knowledge of the changes in the Army command, but I have to say this sounds like a positive development. We live in a dangerous world, and the US can't afford a branch that isn't being utilized to its' fullest.
Go, Army!
Get into it Army. Good to see our allies have a good war game to fight in.

Awsome article moshie
Hoooo-Rahhh
Thanks for posting this up Moishe and thank you everyone for the positive support.
Let me also add, I am only one person. When it comes down to it and the Army IS "fixed" and running good it will not be me who did it would be the Officers like Tremaine, NXNW, and others who did. I am only here to guide them and provide a force so they don't run in circles trying to figure out what to do. The Army has a long ways to go to achieve what it had before but I am confident that it will come far. I myself have come far. I went from some "Anti-Goon" person in some politics to the General of the Army, I think I have come a long ways and I intend to bring the Army a long ways.
To all those interested in joining the Army. Sign up once please, I assure you your application IS there. As spots open up which I do plan on making tons of spots open soon you will find yourself assigned soon enough.
Hoooah!
Be Army Strong!
Do you want to fight? Join the Army!
This is the Army as I remember it back in the day when I first came ino it under Armandez as my original CO. Actually, Steve Bee was my direct CO originally, but he moved up and on quickly...Positive growth, communicaton and dedication...Let's kick this pig and get it back into shape!!

You should call it the 509th.
Glad to see this working out now
sounds like a plan
Well done sirs. I salute you!
I'm looking forward to seeing what General Armandez can do with the Army.
Voted, Hoorah
After the long period during which Symyrstar went AWOL, I'm excited about where we're headed. I'm behind you every step of the way, Armandez. Heil Moishe! Heil Armandez! Heil Tremaine! Heil the eUS!

LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOY JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKK KINNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSS
If the army opens up a ranger division for elite players waiting for the Marines, I would probly move from the National Guard cavalry to there, I have the strengh ( 7.15 ), then again by the time the idea is realized I will probly have 8 strenght.
P.S. Read my new article, rate president scrabman! http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/rate-scrabman--795802/1/20#comments" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/rate[..]ments

This was an epic fail.
I was signed onto a unit. Our squad leaders were active for two weeks. Two weeks. I haven't heard from them since then, and now I'm just waiting till I can join the 8+ branch of the military. They're far, far more organized.
Hmm Revshawn that IS a problem. Blazingstar you got to be minimal strength of 4.
Go Army!
