The aircraft series chapter 2

Day 3,361, 22:26 Published in India India by Visor Of Blades

In the last article I had given some reasons as to why the aircraft division is important.

Now it's time to discuss the first of the three reasons I had mentione😛

"First, obviously, is that it's worth 22 points, or a little over 23% of the total points we need to win the campaign. Also, the fact that every 4th battle is an air battle, that means even if the enemy blanks us on the score sheet, we will still have at least 2 air battles. That's nearly 47%."

As you would have noticed, it's worth twice as much as all four divisions in a land battle combined (1 + 2 + 3 + 5 = 11). The fact that the aircraft battle comes every 4th battle, means it's worth 47% of a the battle that lasts a multiple of 4 rounds.

But the thing to note here is that 47% is still less than 50%, so technically, if we were to destroy them on land, where we have much higher ranks and strength, (and bombs work), we don't have to hit in the air battle. That way we'd win 99-66, which looks like a decent margin, though not big.

The problem here lies not in what can go right, but what to do if it goes wrong. Yes, we can hit better on land, but so can they. Yes, we are far weaker in the air than on land, but so are they. It's important to realize that if we are up against a stronger opponent, then the land battles will likely go to them.

Because on land, they have good tanks and can cause huge damage. But in the air, that gap is smaller, and we can capitalize on any mistakes that they may make - maybe they didn't hit the first 5 minutes. Maybe they're sitting it out because they lead by 30 points. Whatever it may be, because the disproportion is small, we can make it. And we'll get a good 22 points for that.

The problem here lies with the fact that we can not hit as hard as we do on land, so holding a lead is hard. This is also linked to the issue wherein there are people who have been hitting like crazy will be at a higher rank than those who have not. The only way to solve this issue is to keep dumping your energy into aircraft battles. We can't yet train our perception, and even when we can, it will be slower than the way we train for strength on land. So the ranking we have on that will be key. As we rank up, we will do more damage, and can get better in the air.

There are two things we need to do train ourselves to hit in the air. First, feel free to use energy bars. 100 energy is 3-4 hits for me, so it will help. Second, don't use the q1 weapon. It's too damn expensive, and adds very little to your damage.
