The Admins Have Spoken

Day 373, 05:47 Published in USA USA by GoBucks

As many of you know the recent Ohio congressional election was met with much, much controversy. Two major issues lead to this controversy, the first being a "multi-accounter" that used the front, Cooldude, voted for me with his two accounts. In the end the vote was a tie, making it seem as if I only won due to this persons fraudulent methods but then if you looked a little closer you would realize that I shouldn't have won. Erepubliks tie breaker for elections is supposed to be based upon experience points. Tiacha had a mere one more experience point than me on election day. The admins realized the discrepancy between the stated rules and what actually happened. They realized that it was a bug.

I had all intentions of writing my victory article and my plan for Ohio this morning. Yet, in my inbox was a message, from the admins, stating that my congressional seat will be taken away because there was a bug with the system. They also apologized for such inconveniences on my part. So today, I must applaud the admins on doing the right thing, it may be not the thing best for me or you but it was the right thing to do when an error like this took place. I am not worried about this at all as simply I am used to this, in the October Congressional Elections I did not appear on the ballot at all due to a bug. You may have noticed that my party, the USWP, only had 38 candidates. I happened to be one of the two lucky people to be cut off the list due to the bug.

Some people criticized me for not resigning my seat when I realized Tiacha had the XP advantage in the case of a tie-breaker. Numerous other people defended me in numerous articles and private messages, to you I owe a great thanks for all your support. There are two reasons I didn't step down after realizing the tie-breaker bug. The first being on the eUSA Forums where the question was asked who wins in the case of a tiebreaker and no one really knew. The second reason is that if I stepped down there was no guarantee the admins would put Tiacha in my spot and in my opinion a candidate from Ohio is well over ten times better then no candidate at all.

Now the only problem that I have with Tiacha now being a Congresswoman is that she formally quit Erepublik yesterday and posted this, "Goodbye, Erepublik. Thank you to the Feds and Royamen. But I will not participate in a game that has tyrannical admins and unfair elections." I sincerely hope that she returns after releasing that statement because as I stated earlier, "a candidate from Ohio is well over ten times better then no candidate at all." Only time will tell whether she returns.

If indeed she does return I would like a formal apology. Not an apology to me about accusing me of multi-accounting, or accusing me of harassing her but an apology to my party. She stated in a comment on the same article which she gave an apology to me, "Hooray for USWP tyranny." I can not stand by while my party is insulted in such a harsh fashion by my very own opponent.

Well, I wish to each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. You should expect to see me around for attempt number three on Congress in a little less then a month because I am not about to give up, and I hope the ole saying, "third times a charm" will come through for me.

Sincerely,

GoBucks
