That Congress Thingy

Day 975, 06:15 Published in USA USA by DoubleBlade

Date: July 22, 2010 Day 975

The time has come for the new Congress to be chosen. I'm proud to announce I'm seeking a second term as the official Federalist Party candidate in the region of Chongqing!

My Stance

I could make a lot of promises about these new programs I will start up that will sound good to get votes. I could shake babies and kiss hands with a great big smile like some other candidates. That's just not my style. I'm not going to make false promises or kiss anyone's ass. I'm a straight shooter and I always say what's on my mind, regardless if it's the popular thing to say. Today, I make just one promise:

I promise to fight the good fight!

There are those in Congress who feel they do not represent each individual in eAmerica. They represent only themselves and their group of "elites." It is their belief that the rules do not apply to them and anyone who speaks out in opposition to their views and their policies does not belong in Congress. They only want "YES" men and women to serve in Congress and blindly follow their lead. I am proud as hell to not belong to this group.

There's also a group of Congressmen who stand against such beliefs. This group is not the popular group. They are often times bashed on the forums for speaking out against the "ruling class." This group remembers the individual citizen and has a strong belief that common sense should dictate policies and laws. This group believes that each citizen, including those in Congress, should abide by all rules, and not just the ones accepted by the "elites." This is where I find my home.

The Military

I will always fight to support the military and the budget it needs to properly defend our nation from those who wish us harm. The eUS does not have a shortage of enemies. Now, more than ever, the military needs the proper funding to provide security. I will oppose all budget cuts concerning the military. I am a firm believer that supporting the military should be the primary objective of our government.

The Power of the Vote

Contrary to what the "elites" think, I believe that each individual has the power to impact these elections. A vote for me will be a vote for a common sense approach to government. It will be a vote for a Congress that remembers the citizens and understands that the policies and laws passed effect more people than just those on the Congress forums. I've seen a lot of articles from citizens who are disgusted by our government. There are those of us who hear you and understand. Use your power, the power of the vote, to send a clear message this election.

Vote DoubleBlade in Chongqing!

YOU have the power!
