Thank you JamesW and the UK!

Thank You United Kingdom!

Everybody loves flagpins

When I was President in March and April, and when I was Foreign Affairs Minister for the two months before that, I was struck by the change of attitude coming from the United Kingdom. After almost two years of impasse and hostility, we had resolved to come together and unite in a new alliance, one whose first Secretary General and first Supreme Commander were both Brits.

In my role during the formation of this alliance, I forged friendships and relationships with successive British PM’s, Mr. Woldy, Artela, and their current leader JamesW. It would not be an exaggeration to say that one of our very closest allies during this time was indeed our once former enemies.

Despite miscommunications and mismanagements of the relationship during the month after my retirement, the UK and Canada have remained close friends. For me, it was absolutely no surprise when Canada found itself in dire straits this past week that the UK was there to help.

In making us their natural enemy, they have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt their natural friendship with Canada. By doing whatever they can to take our regions, even by trying, they are making it easier for us to get back on the map should it come to that.

I was charged by our President to think of an appropriate way to express our appreciation for the United Kingdom’s help. I offered their President the chance to rent two of our regions so that they may get a region bonus for deer, free for three months, as a token of our esteem and appreciation for our loyal friend.

They rejected it. I cannot begin to express my admiration and gratitude for such a friend.

Canada, you must know what a brave friend the UK has been in making this move. They have watched their allies in Germany, and France (closer allies than us) fall to the boot of Poland. That they have said “enough, no more!” and cast their lot with us is a true sign of the work that has been done to make the relationship between our two countries at work.

Of course, we do not want our friends in the UK to suffer our fate and be wiped as we may very well be. For that reason, officials in the United Kingdom government may deny that any deal or offer to help has taken place. I beg that you must understand that their position has been made precarious by helping us, and it is not in our favour to have them anger Poland anymore than they already have on our account.

I write this without Congressional or Presidential approval, but merely as a citizen who is once again impressed by JamesW and all the work he’s done for Terra since the very beginning, and all the help that the UK has given its allies in the past dark months. I just wanted Canadians to know that in this time of doom and gloom, we have at least one country in our corner.

So thank you JamesW, and the United Kingdom, on behalf of a grateful ally and friend.

The jury is in, and this man is guilty of loving Canada
