Thank You For Helping Me Defeat Rolo

Day 1,821, 19:56 Published in Canada Canada by Jacobi

UPC PTO Thwarted
"CAF Party" retaken and renamed.
Chance to Win 5 gold for this survey

Thank you!

I am running to replace Rolo in the old EPIC Party, currently called Canadian Armed Forces.

By running:

I am working to prevent PTOs of the United Party, Clan Wolf, and theoretically CPF by forcing the trolls to defend what they have instead of focusing on attacking legitimate parties.

If I were to win:

It is my intention to take the party and make it, at least for this month, a CPF affiliate party until something more productive can be decided with it.

It is my intention to deprive Rolo an opportunity to significantly influence Congressional or the Presidential elections.

It is my intention to help the Military Dictatorship Party remove itself of one more coalition chain.

If I were to win and any of the legitimate parties were to be subjected to a PTO:

I will work with their internally nominated leader to organize Congressional elections and Presidential nominations to nullify any successful PTO.

I don’t know if Canada needs 5 viable political parties, but I do know that it is improved by the presence of four legitimate and unique voices. I also think that it’s time we unshackle ourselves of the last vestige of undiluted coalition trollery.

If you are Canadian and you have an interest in removing Rolo Tahmassee from a Top 5 Party Presidency, first check to see if your vote is needed to stop a PTO in UPC, CPF, or Clan Wolf. Then, if it is not, consider casting your vote my way.

Let’s finish this job.

Should be an interesting PP battle. Lemme grab a case of beer for the show. All for me off course.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Day 1,821, 20:05

Aw, you wouldn't share one or two beers with me, Rylde?

Ardikus V2
Ardikus V2 Day 1,821, 20:06

Just make sure to keep it in your party and in your pants gentlemen.

Rylde Day 1,821, 20:08

I hope you have more up your sleeve than 1 article published 4 hours before the elections start. Good luck.

Rylde Day 1,821, 20:21

The Fedora fits up his a%% plug no worries.

Plugson Day 1,821, 20:28

That was a rather smart play on the usual 'butt plug' joke. You guys are getting better.

Without Rolo all we would have left for entertainment would be Rylde giving Jacobi fashion advise.

Mary Chan
Mary Chan Day 1,821, 21:21

@Rylde: Actually, I think one beer is plenty for me.
@Plugson: I got my fill of butt jokes from comments on a friend's picture on facebook,
"A photo where you can see my smile and all four of my cheeks."
"That's one heck of an asset you got there."
"With an asset like this, I don't mind being the butt of a few jokes."
with 6 more hilarious butt-punny comments. Very entertaining.

Muglack Day 1,821, 21:22

"It is my intention to take the party and make it, at least for this month, a CPF affiliate party until something more productive can be decided with it."

Of course it's not bad, WE'RE doing it! I mean, we aren't THEM. THEY'RE the bad guys. WE'RE the good guys. You can trust US.

Us and them, us and them. When can this bullshit finally end and we can move forward together?

Plugson Day 1,821, 21:37

Muglack, let's even out the playing field.
You re-design MDP as "Captains of Industry Party." Randall can make CPF "The Crimson Canucks Party." Maybe the Clan Wolf PP will change over to "Praetor Party"

That way we're all on the same page, eh? That a good solution?

Muglack Day 1,821, 21:42

I'm also worried by the fact that the acting General of the CAF has endorsed Jacobi in this.

Not only for allowing the [CAF] tag in Jacobi's article (which will likely result in two-clicking CAF-MU members supporting this), but for not admonishing him for essentially politicizing the MU for one person's personal vendetta and mission.

What does the MAC have to say about their General's decision?

Plugson Day 1,821, 21:48

Why, because we hold CAF to a higher standard to make its role difficult and then ridicule and demean it on the flipside when the occasion suits us?

I was hopeful with your first article, Muglack, but it seems to me like you're rationalizing the situation. The CAF has already expressed its dislike of Rolo using the CAF name and logo. Now Jacobi has stepped up promising to remove the abuse of its name.

MAC has good reason to support Jacobi. He's had enough of the CAF party.

Plugson Day 1,821, 21:52

A less biased "we are all one and the same" line would have entailed you at least address who has created the problem of co-opting a group's well-established identity without any legitimate reason to do so. So, what's your take on the CAF Party as it is, Muglack? Just another party out to do the same job like the rest of them? Same as CPF, UPC, Clan Wolf, etc?

Plugson Day 1,821, 22:02

...or maybe the real issue that matters in the long-running drama that has afflicted eCanada is the current use of a three-letter tag in one article published by a player many others look to for guidance and sound reason.

Where is the Supreme Court when you need it.

Muglack Day 1,821, 22:21

I'm right here. Let me put my wig on.

My take on the name of the party is that Rolo does it to garner votes on election day, but it doesn't really work.

The whole thing's a joke. I don't know who we're laughing at, but we're laughing all the same.

Jacobi didn't write that what he's doing, while fundamentally wrong, is for the good of the nation. He's just doing it for the sake of doing it. He's creating an ever bigger fissure that at the end of the day he'll blame on the "other guy".

Zappie Day 1,822, 23:04

I agree with Muglack, it seems to me this is some sort of vendetta or wrought out of dislike for some individual people, with no benefit to E-Canada or E-Canadians.

Negativity breeds negativity, and further putting a wedge between parties with good ideas and great people can do nothing to further our cause.

I think all of the parties would have some good things to offer, and things that E-Canadians could get behind and different ideals should be available to serve the will of the people.

ragalanow jadon
ragalanow jadon Day 1,822, 23:37

further your own goals and take down a nuisance, a good idea except i don't like jacobi's goals.
still i think eCanadains, including CAF unit members, deserve to choose for themselves so i'll go so far as to give the article a vote

Exalted Druid
Exalted Druid Day 1,822, 00:27

If it gets rid of the abomination of the CAF name then this will have succeeded. Besides how do you think Rolo and his minion's got control of these parties. By running uplifting political campaign? Have you checked who's running for PP in Clan Wolf?

Julio de Matos
Julio de Matos Day 1,822, 01:05

i'm 12 years old and what is this?

Muglack Day 1,822, 01:07

"Have you checked who's running for PP in Clan Wolf?"

Want me to send you the logs of EPD coming up with the idea of PTO'ing Clan Wolf and only after committing to it Wally saying he'd sign up as well so EPD could use him as a boogieman and steal it for sure?

Muglack Day 1,822, 01:10

Also, the name plays zero roll in Jacobi's plan. He didn't even mention it in the article.

What he did mention was this:

"It is my intention to deprive Rolo an opportunity to significantly influence Congressional or the Presidential elections."

Lowering yourself to the other person's level and then thinking it's acceptable by saying, "It's cool, I'm not them" isn't the way things should be done.

MCA421 Day 1,822, 03:35

A PTO to Stop a PTO? confused, isnt this just jackofbi ego trip again?

Chochi Day 1,822, 06:58

@Muglack's question about the MAC and Beeman.

First, let me correct one thing: George Beeman IS the General of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Second, the MAC is a group of advisors. It's not like they have a veto on this so I don't really know why you want to know what "they" have to say.
Thirdly, as individuals every member of the CAF has a right to participate in the political module in any way they wish. This includes our General.

Chochi Day 1,822, 07:02

Fourth, "ILU" is hardly an endorsement and again, so what? If George was ordering CAF soldiers to vote for one candidate over another that'd be an abuse of his position. George showing his affection for Jacobi is not a problem.
Fifth, my personal opinion on Jacobi using "[CAF]" in his article title is that it's a bit misleading and that I'd prefer if he didn't since he isn't actually a member of the CAF. Likewise I'd prefer if Rolo didn't use the CAF as the name of his party.

George Beeman
George Beeman Day 1,822, 07:02

I'm not endorsing Jacobi as General.
I'm endorsing him as a citizen.

Also, I make it very clear, every election day, in the MU feed, that we aren't affiliated with any party.

Chochi Day 1,822, 07:06

There's not much that can be done about either of that though so I don't see the point in making a fuss about it.
My personal opinion about why George hasn't said anything about Jacobi using "[CAF]" in his article's title is that I don't have an opinion. Again, I don't see the point in making a fuss about it.
My personal opinion about your comment is that you're trying to divert attention away from the real issue here. This isn't about the CAF.

Chochi Day 1,822, 07:08

(Wait til I'm done Beeman 😛. Nearly there.)
The story here is about two individuals vying to become president of a party called Canadian Armed Forces. This party is in no way affiliated with the CAF MU which has been in existence for far, far longer. So please, leave us out of it.

Quim B. Muffins
Quim B. Muffins Day 1,822, 07:31

I dunno, I think Rolo should be permitted to have his own party, no matter its origins. He is eCanada's Darth Vader, what does blowing up his Death Star prove? He'll just build a new one. The Force is strong in that one.

What would politics be without a formidable opposition?

Oinyo Day 1,822, 07:41

Hey Jacobi.. You are currently beating Rolo in votes...

Thats a pretty massive feat!

Addy Lawrence
Addy Lawrence Day 1,822, 07:52

In eCanada, the concept of a PTO and ATO have completely washed away. The country has settled into two sides, may as well call them Red and Blue, akin to the Habs and Leafs. Neither is truly good nor bad, they are just on different sides. One team has some goons which have shown in the past that they can play dirty, but other than that it is just a game with no real victory conditions.

A leadership race like this provides entertainment value and the game needs it.

Good luck Jacobi....

Addy Lawrence
Addy Lawrence Day 1,822, 07:52

...go Red or go Blue, whichever team you are on 🙂

TheSmoke Day 1,822, 08:13

I would agree with Chochi, do what you guys want, but please be clear on changing the name Jacobi. Either way good luck

Leo Balzac
Leo Balzac Day 1,822, 08:16

hilarious. Just goes to show that, as much as they claim, the Axis of Boredom is no better and/or worse than the Coalition.

I always thought, that for moral reasons, the 'good' guys in eCan were above PTOing. Does this mean that there's no more 'good' and 'bad' guys? we're all just guys? (maybe a few gals sprinkled in there). I sure hope not, I don't know if I can survive in a world where it ain't black and white.

It really interests me since the AoB have always tried to paint the picture.

Leo Balzac
Leo Balzac Day 1,822, 08:19

...of eCan being a black and white society. With us or against us. I've always advocated for 'shades of grey' (no this is not a reference to that damned book, which actually sucks by the way) and been told that it's not possible in our society. Too bad those who 'know best' were basically blowing sunshine up my arse.

Enjoy your PTO Jacobi. You've given up your 'high ground' now. I hope you're ready to battle it out down here in the muck with the rest of us common folk.

Jacobi Day 1,822, 09:24

No high ground has been given, the name of the party will be changed if I win at 9am tomorrow.

If Canada was PTO'd would trying to get it back equate to the same morality as the invaders?

Was the US immoral for freeing the Phillipines from Japan?

That sort of moral equivalency is delusional.

Leo Balzac
Leo Balzac Day 1,822, 11:12

You're assuming I'm viewing you as the 'saviour'. It all depends which side of the fence you're on. I know I'll never convince you, since your ego won't allow itself to perceive any flaw in what you're doing but from my vantage point, you've given the high ground.

Muglack Day 1,822, 11:14

So now that you've been shown to be no better than the person you were attacking you change the shape of your mission to one of liberation rather than domination.

In the immortal words of Mobb Deep, "There ain't no such things as halfway crooks."

Foxfire Day 1,822, 11:23

"I always thought, that for moral reasons, the 'good' guys in eCan were above PTOing."

I'd like it noted that CW hasn't PTOed jack. I'm still waiting for my medal in the mail for honourable conduct.
Any day now...

SpockPQ Day 1,822, 18:04

Plugson Day 1,822, 19:21

If it's just Red and Blue now, I'm feeling the urge to go independent: Green.

The Green Party:
- stays out of inter-party political drama
- promotes the needs of basic soldiers/MU members: MPPs, stable-minimal funding, purposeful Battle Orders, cheaper guns
- places less emphasis on the needs of business operators (when conflicting with the needs of MUs), Red/Blue politicians, social roleplayers, proven trolls, and lulzers
- invites input and guidance from MU Commanders only

Go Green
