Thailand Communications - Get Involved!

Day 300, 12:41 Published in Thailand United Kingdom by mr. brodie

As many of you know, communications are key to create anything successful. In the past, Thailand hasn't been the most talkative country, with lack of communication from not only the government but also the fellow citizens.

In the past week a few key places have cropped up for us, the people, to discuss the future of the country. These allow us to have a decent conversation, with more than 1 person at a time, and normally with instant feedback.

Don't worry though, we don't always talk about work, work, work. We normally just sit back and chillax, and discuss whatever you want. It is also a great place for new players that want to learn thing, and also for older player who want to get more involved with the country. So yea, just check the places out, and get to know people better.

eThailand Forums - [a url=http://e-thailand.go-forum.net]CLICK[/a]

The first place is the forum. It allows us to keep a log of out chats, leave posts for others to see and basically have a friendly community. This is the easiest method of keep in touch with others, and it allows us to keep talks private, in case we don't want others to see what we are talking about.

eThai IRC

The second place is the IRC (Internet relay chat). This is basically a free way to have a big conversation with multiple people, basically like MSN, but you don't have to add anybody and everything is sorted already. It's organized and efficient, although you may have to install the chat. I would recommend downloading “Chatzilla” and using it as an add-on to Firefox. The IRC is for anybody wanting to learn about Thailand, foreigners feel free to join and ask questions. Chatzilla isn't just for eThailand though, you can join many different countries IRCs, including Pakistan, the UK, Ireland, Norway and many more. Currently these aren't being used much, but hopefully with time we can improve them and get some real good discussions going. Communication is key to the future of this country.
