Testing our Brotherhood
Urokhtor
It is normal that people are upset after such a fail that EDEN experienced yesterday and today. This means a lot for our alliance and especially for Spain, who lost two certainly valuable regions in hands of Phoenix. Now we have to face the fact that we lost. But some people are putting all blame on EDEN HQ and some point fingers to other countries. This is not the right thing to do right now! Doing so just creates internal turmoil reduces our moral and effectiveness.
Instead of that we should think about what we did wrong and how we can rise from this situation. People should realise that drawback are inevitable. Right now we can tell that attacking Liaoning was a really dumb move, but risks have to be taken if you want to achieve something. Things could've also gone in a different way and people would be enthusiasticly cheering after an epic victory.
The problem I see here is that people can't see things in overall. They just live in the moment and that causes us troubles. Right now people can't remember the utmostly succesfull World in Flames campaign, or last month's epic victory over Phoenix when we secured Rhone Alps, Aquitaine, Heilongjiang, two other Chinese regions and Northern Cape while Phoenix managed to win nothing and burned a serious bunch of gold in process.
So instead of seizing the moment, try to think of things in overall. EDEN has all its cores intact and triggering our MPP's would be a serious mistake for Phoenix. We are in a situation where we can concentrate on getting back regions we lost yesterday. And for that we need to work closely together, as a brotherhood. The answer to success are common goals that let us concentrate our efforts and maximize our effectiveness. That way we can achieve great victories.
I sincerely hope that people learn something from this article. Don't go pointing other people and telling they are to blame. I'm sure that people in many HQ's learned great lessons today. And if you give them time to learn from their mistakes and put those things in use, we can get our regions back! And remember, EDEN is a brotherhood. Brothers support each other in the times of need!

Aye! Many articles were posted to mock EDEN, but the turnout was totally different back then. EDEN managed to secure all important (high) regions, but sometimes they have to lose them too. So, yes, this day may be seen as a disappointment, but as aforesaid, things will change. Because this is how it works. The higher you stand, the quicker you fall. 😉
I also like to quote this from Thatcher "when an alliance has a bad day they forget all their great victories" beacause its just true.
ho lost two certainly valuable regions in hands of Phoenix.
> Nah. You lost again France & his friends, AND again PHX.
Look at the damages in the battle of Aquitaine, you will see :3.
I share some points of this article, but still think that the starting point for improvements are implementing some changes, we need all members full of activity, lazyness made us lost valuable regions for not taking the iniciative, now we are in a sensible situation, some countries like Croatia and Romania have too many mpps activated agaisnt them, it's time to make the brotherhood active and protecting our cores.
Good points in the article. But remember that "brothers" can also give AND take critique. That is also a valid starting point to think to the future and to enhance the working methods within the alliance.
TTi09 yes, it is really important to give and take critique. But it should always stay in a peaceful way. I want tell people (also in my previous articles) that they shouldn't try to lynch leaders when something goes wrong. My article is answer to articles like this http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/eden-go-to-bed--1421434/1/20">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/eden[..]/1/20
v! I agree with some of they things you are saying here, not all. We need more auto-critical with ourselves. Stay together it wont change.
I agree with this article.
If we let this situation destroy our cohesion then we lost a lot more than we think right now. Keep your heads cool.
It's quite easier to keep heads cool when you don't have to buy a moving ticket and take your *ss out of your home.
Anyway... yes. We will stand together.
EDEN HQ screw it up big time. No excuses, that's it. And some countries doesn't even appeared in the statistics for Aquitaine and RA. No excuses, that's it. Others didn't give their full potential in these 2 battles.
Attacking LK was not a dumb move. It could've worked if in the 1st day of battle everybody in EDEN would have given its best concentrating all possible firepower in Aquitaine and RA. At least, even if LK couldn't be taken, we would have probably secured Aquitaine.
But the first day was a joke...
It's not a problem of people. It's the whole EDEN system, that needs to be scuttle down. It's a disgrace.
