Taxes for food

Dear fellow citizen!
A few days ago, the tax for food has been set to 1% / 1% / 1%.
This step was made because of the ongoing war with Italy and the low amount of food we have in austria.
I do agree the taxes had to be lowered, yet I think it's been lowered too far.
The way it's now, we (the state) practically don't make any money from food.
That's why I'm suggesting a readjustment to the folloing values:
Law Proposal
Income Tax: 5%
Import Tax: 3%
VAT: 3%
This way, the food won't become too expensive, but we'd at least make a BIT of money (in fact 3,6x what we get now). Ofc this isnt a thing of extreme importance, as its only "peanuts", but money is money.
Btw I own a Q3 Food comp myself, so my suggestion would even "harm" me, but i think the values provided are reasonable, and I'm ready to pay a bit for my country.

I support that statement! Maybe we could raise the import tax a bit higher (around 5😵 to support the suprisingly small Austrian food industry and earn some more money for the state.
thats true, but right now we really really need the food so we have to keep supply coming
I am aggree with you 😉
we should lower the import taxes for weapons also...in the last war there was no weapons on the market
