Tax Change on Grain
RexLudi
Grains income tax is at 1% while the income taxes on food, weapons, gifts, moving tickets, and houses are all at 5%. This is not fair for companies in these fields. It is impossible for a general manager of one of these companies to pay the same amount as a general manager from a grain company.
That is why I propose the income tax of grain be raised to 5% so it is uniform with the other markets.

I'd be in favour of lowering food, weapons, gifts, moving tickets, and houses to 1%
Rather than raising a tax just to be uniform
Uniform and low is better than uniform and high 🙂
I agree that low is better than high. But I think 5% is reasonable.
I do agree with you.
Now give me my 5 golds.
minimum 5% income tax

Most countries have Income Tax between 10% and 15%.
(Hungary, UK, Romania 10%, Italy, Canada 15😵
We should lower the other taxes to match grain.
Don't forget that these countries are constantly at war, and the State eventually spend money on weapons, tickets, gifts and etc.
I agree with all Income at 4 or 5% and lowering VATs from 5% to 3%.
Why lower VATs? Because VAT is what I call "the unfair tax", cause it's applied to everyone, no matter how much your salary is.
Ambrose, 5% is hardly a high tax rate.
We are too small of a country to not raise taxes, the government barely has any money as it is. MPPs and wars cost money. Hospitals and defense systems cost money. Where do you think this will come from?
We if we had an economy like USA or Hungary we could justify having minimal taxes but we barely have hardly any citizens in eAustria.
