Sporters caught wit doping may from now on, after they fulfilled their period of inactivity, participate in the Olympics.

The international court of sports TAS has decided that athletes may not be punished twice. The rules of the Olympic games are not the same as the ones from WADA (anti-doping society), thus the rules of the Olympics are not legal.

This is good news for persons like LaShawn Merritt (400m) and Dwain Chambers (100m). Merritt can now go for gold in London 2012.

President of the IOC Rogge has declared that with the review of the doping rules in 2013, the commitee will try to reintroduce this rule.
