The Upcoming Elections
It's that time of month again where a nation votes for it's President! The question is...who are YOU voting for? well...let look at the candidates who want to be President shall we?(We promise not to be rude to any of the candidates. If we miss key information, like a link to an article, let us know and we'll fix it! Thank you!)

Artela?

Artela is one of the candidates want to be president this term. She has been elected president three times, and has been in congress 17 times. She stated in her article to answer GloveisLove's
25 questions that, in a quick sum up, why she should be president.

Vice President: Duncan Crowe



Duncan is experienced in both party politics and national politics. He works hard and plays hard and is flexible, doing what is needed where it is needed... exactly the sort of guy to be my number one. Someone who can step up when needed, someone who garners respect, and someone who is going places. He will make an excellent Vice-President.


Chief of Staff: Molly Emma



Molly is another experienced player who has done the job of Chief of Staff before, and she was so good at it everyone keeps asking her to do it again! She’s organized, a good manager of others, and a perfect match to keep me and my VP (and the rest of the cabinet) on our toes and doing a good job on behalf of all of eAmerica.


Secretary of State: NewAzazel



NewAzazel has been impressive as a deputy in the State Department, and now is his time to step up to the big chair! He has been responsible for a lot of the good things that have happened out of the State Department under Vanek’s tenure. He is a good diplomat and has built an excellent network of international contacts, but he isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right for eAmerica when dealing with other nations. I expect big things from NewAzazel.


Secretary of Defense and War: Cromstar



Cromstar has done a really good job in this department to date, and so I’ve asked him to reprise this role for me as well. There are still things that need to be sorted out within the Department of Defense and War, and I know he wouldn’t like to leave any loose ends from the good work he has done so far.


Secretary of the Interior: Othere



Othere took this role on during the last term, and under his tenure the Department of the Interior has gone from strength to strength, and so I have asked him to continue on and he has graciously agreed to do so. Good job too - good Secretaries of the Interior like him are hard to find!


Secretary of Education: Mazzy Cat



Mazzy Cat is an energetic and fun person, who has translated her energy into beating others into providing the information she needs to pull together articles and push out information to our newer players to help them succeed. And very good at it she is too. Long may we continue to have such an active Department of Education putting out useful stuff for everyone. Well done Mazzy Cat.


Secretary of Media Paul: Proteus



Paul took this job on last term and has done really good things, like making sure that the WHPR is regularly issued to keep everyone informed in current affairs. He’s done such a good job that I’m not letting him off the hook, so no retirement for Paul. He gets another term too.

Ronald Gipper Reagan?

Ronald is another one of the candidates that want to be president this term. he has never been elected president in the eUSA, and has been in congress 3 times.

This is Ronald's Qualifications and policy's if he is elected President:

Qualifications

1. Party President of the single most influential American party, and responsible for overseeing the most significant non-governmental organization in the eUSA.
2. Former Congressman with experience in legislative policy.
3. Has been a citizen of ten nations on five different continents, held leadership positions in those countries, and has one of the largest networks of international diplomatic contacts.
4. Commanding Officer and co-founder of American Eagle Division, one of the top ten military units in the eUSA.
5. Prolific author and publisher of The Reagan Revolution.
6. Has held numerous Ambassadorial and other diplomatic posts, and responsible for creating the original Department of Homeland Security in the GoalieBCSC Administration(before it turned into Orwell on steroids)

Economic Policy

The current economic policies are absolutely atrocious. I will push for an income tax reduction from the current 25% level to the prior 15% level. Further, VAT and Import taxes will be set at 1%. This will alleviate a lot of the problems that many players, particularly newer ones have in being able to survive without massive assistance from others. We will make up for this in two main ways.

1. I will establish a Patriot Defense Fund, where players may voluntarily donate money to be used towards American military operations. This will allow those who can afford to do so to give more to the country, while not asking more of those who cannot.
2. I will restore 100/100 resource bonuses, which will bring tremendous economic benefits back to our country and allow money to literally be flowing in.



Foreign Policy

I will form a New Roman Empire Alliance. Any nation who wishes to join us and shares our values will be welcome to be a part of it. The current alliances are quite boring to role-play, so I will try something new and interesting.

In the short-term, I would propose a region swap with Canada and Mexico. This will allow us to permanently secure 100/100 bonuses. It is crucial that we maintain good relations with our neighbors. While it may have been lulzy to engage in wars with both countries in the past, in order to build an American superpower, this is the best course of action for the future.

Military Policy

The American military requires a complete overhaul. I will immediately end the government policy of political segregation that has wrongfully denied our nation valuable soldiers for petty and unjust reasons. Units with Commanders who refuse to follow orders will be asked to resign. If they refuse to resign their post, those units will be stripped of funding and their soldiers offered an opportunity to transfer to another unit with a new Commander in place. Due to threats made by some individuals in positions of power, these actions are needed in order to preserve the core of our fighting force.

Other rising units will also be incorporated into the American military and put to their full use on the battlefield. I will also seek to sign reliable mercenary units to exclusive contracts defending the USA. I am in contact with numerous well respected and powerful units who will be able to provide a tremendous boost to our military efforts. In terms of where we will look to use the military on the world stage, I would tie this with my foreign policy. Our combined friends will be far stronger than our foes. This will allow us to identify a target we are interested in attacking, and engaging in essentially a one front war. Minimize our enemies. Maximize our potential expansion as a nation.

Domestic Policy

The Department of Homeland Security will be retooled to target the true threats to our country, Pfeifferist loyalists who will go to ANY and ALL measures to cling to power and continue to run our nation through the ground. For those Americans who wish to work for a better nation, a Reagan Presidency would welcome them. For the extremists and the hardliners, there is no compromise in their mind, and there is only one way they can be dealt with. Immigration will be decentralized and left to the judgment of the individual Congressman, as game mechanics intend.

ElvenCRO?

Elven is the third and final one of the candidates. However, new information states that he wants Artela to be president and encourages his party to do the same, and that party is:
Croatian-American Society



The upcoming World War
As you all know, a lot of nations are preparing for the next World War. Most say it will be between Cot and TWO, which it most likely will be. So far. TWO is centered in Europe while CoT is in North America and Asia, along with a little of Europe thanks to Russia.

We have been looking around the map and thought about the possible combat areas. so far, it looks like either Europe or North America will be the first combat zone. But both will no doubt have fights in their areas.

As for other news, Asgard is likely to join Cot in a war against TWO due to the said enemy occupying parts of their land. EDEN is collapsing as the last founding member has left the alliance. No doubt the other nations will seek to join or create other alliances as this one draws it's last breaths.

As for NaN, we believe they will try to stay out of the war unless provoked by invasion. If that happens, they will no doubt join the other alliance for the duration of the World War.

That pretty much is all we can say till the guns fire and the bombs drop.


Operations Against Spain Succeed
Now for more National matters. Two of the Operations Against Spain in occupied territory have succeed. Those two that succeeded where in Norte Portugal and New Foundland and Labrador Canada.

The one in North East Venezuela however, failed. This means Spain still has a foothold in South America, which also gives TWO a landing point that can be used to invade South America if they wish too. Meanwhile, Canada is slowly but surely kicking Spain out of North America! GO CANADA GO! Portugal however, is struggling to maintain it's defensive lines while attempting to liberate the last of their country.

That's about all we know of the Operations against Spain.


Europe In Flames?
lately Europe has been in flames as TWO tries to take it over and maintain their hold. Every day half-a-dozen battles are fought, territories switch hands back and forth. Overall? We think it's the sigh that the World War draws very near. Many battles between TWO and the Nations of Europe that are not in their alliance, seems to be the near start of it. After all, if CoT let's TWO take over Europe, Most of their European nations will be able to make food and weapons a lot more than they are now.

Get ready everyone, the World war draws near. Listen for the war drums, then you will know that the time has come to fight TWO with everything we have. Don't hold back. Are you ready America? AIM. Fire!
