Szemi: eHungary and ASTERIA

Hello again dear readers! Today we have a new interview, with the Country President of eHungary, szemi.

Note that I won't change any words from szemi answers and I won't translate the article in Romanian language, just not to alter her ideas or to became somehow subjective about some things. Thank you for your understanding!



1. Please tell me, in few words, a little bit about yourself as a player and how do you see the history of e-relations between Hungary and Romania. And how do you think they will evolve in the future (Hungarians and Romanians are fighting against eachother in RWs or in other wars, NE laws were proposed against eachother and your last one was rejected with a tight score etc.).

I'm playing eRepublik ruffly for 6 years now. I arrived in the game right after eHungary was liberated. My position towards eRomania is more like neutral. But some of our players are still considering eRomania the arch-enemy.
Troll NE-s will always be, on both sides...I think. If any of this will pass....now this is something very hard to tell.

2. Because there were lots of talks about your list of MPPs, please tell me the advantage, for Hungary, of having MPP with Bulgaria and Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) - which recently have been in conflict with some Asteria members (Argentina, Brazil and Portugal).

Well, friendship with MKD is not a new thing. We were friends with them, for a long time, and this friendship means a lot for us. Same applies to Indonesia. So this 2 MPP-s, are a confirmation of that friendship. Regarding Bulgaria. With them, we have good relations, from a long time now. But until now, we didn't wanted to sign MPP with them, because we always considered ourselves a pro-Asteria country. But, now, when half of Asteria sided with Greece, against us, and SG of Asteria declared more times, that we are not Asteria.....and Asteria has no obligation to help us...
Or, in other terms: we have only two possibilities, to defend ourselves. First, to keep only Asteria MPP-set, and count on the alliance for protection. This was our choice, and worked just fine, for a long time. But now, if Asteria refuses to help us, we must search for other ways, try to build an alternate set of MPP-s.

3. If you know the details, please let us know what really happened in the campaign against Croatia to help Serbia, when Hungary blocked the attack of Romania (because there were a lot of protests, saying that Hungary did it on purpose). You knew about Asteria plans of attack (I mean who will attack what region)?!

Asteria made a plan, and they didn't informed us about that plan. We were coordinating with Serbia and Slovenia, independently. But nobody told us, what Romania plans to do. So, now Romania blames us, that we blocked them on purpose, and we blame Romania, that they didn't informed us on purpose, to make us responsible for the failure. And this won't change, until somebody will have the guts, to say, "guys, sorry, I forget on all that fuzz to inform the huns....."

4.What are the reasons behind the current conflict with Greece? If it is about bonuses, why you delayed your attack, preferring to start those RWs in Greece? Did you expected an direct involvement of Serbia (and maybe other Asteria members) against Greece?

We didn't wanted war with Greece. We just wanted our bonuses back. CornelB accused us, that we are working against Asteria, and we want to bring down the alliance. Well, sorry to say this, but this is plain stupid. We were just fine, with full bonuses and possibilities to go around in interesting campaigns, in pro-Asteria status, as we were. So the ones, who are working against Asteria are the same ones, who allowed Croatia and Greece to attack us and denied us Asteria help. Blaming us, that we want to bring down Asteria....why? Because we are trying to defend ourselves?

5. What can you tell us about the foreign policy of Hungary? Can you respond to those who are saying that Hungary (together with Poland) wants to disband Asteria by breaking Serbia - Romania relations?

6. In your opinion, what is the future of Asteria and how Hungary will be positioned toward this alliance? In worst case scenario, if Asteria will fall apart, and other 2 alliances will be formed, how do you see those (talking about their big members)?!

It all depends on Asteria. If they change their mind about us, and choose to cooperate like before with us...than we will have no interest in changing that situation. If not, we will have no choice, but to try to find new ways..... Who will be in the future alliances, if Asteria falls? I can't speculate on this.
