It is me, not you. I am the one that procrastinated the next speech to the nation. After my last article [it was a whole sentence!!!] i felt so exhausted, i just couldn't write another one.
Actually, it was a mixture of lazyness and the absence of a clear message i could deliver.
Let's start where we left off. I asked you all to participate in a public poll to determinn if we want to break the CP strike and search for a TW.
As you can see a clear mayority wanted to start a TW.
Now participating in one was more complicated than i expected. We wanted to combine our TW with landswap. The aim was a to get a safe region in italy so we won't get steamrolled by our not so friendly neighbours and also increase our oil production. However Italy was involved in a war already and therefore their army wasn't able to help us out if their 2-clickers would fight against us.
Meanwhile a lot of people were getting nervous if we were gonna be able to solve the strike breaking missions before the time runs out. Thalia on Sturmfels proposed Austria as Natural Enemy and the SNP fraction supported her bid for war. Although the government understood her concerns, it brought us into big troubles. Before this proposal the diplomatic contacts to Austria were almost non-existant. It was not a relationship that had mutual trust. The worst part was that Austria had only one Region and every attack on it means a fight for survival for them. Now the NE proposal got voted down but the talks with Austria continued and so we could start the TW a day later. Just in order for everyone to finish their missions (in case they fought abroad the day before).
The TW had a realy rocky start. At first the Austrians attacked our most important region and we had to RW it and there was a group of German Tanks that made it their mission to screw Switzerland over by tanking against us. Since one of their friends - [JaFe] had Austrian citizenship we did not know if the Austrians were talking with two tongues. By now however, everyone can see that the TW works out pretty good and i believe it can be the start of a real bromance between Switzerland and Austria.

and btw: my actions != eAustrian actions. At least everyone can decide on his own where to fight. And if you like to fix it on CS, you fail hard anyway. I'm more eSouth Korean than eGerman and more eAustrian then eSouth Korean.

Austria must nothing LTT if they are smart they use the TW.
Thats the best and cheapest way for our little countries to develop our residents and economie. Without gold. If not it will be end next week or with the conquer one of the participants before.

ok.... that's all great. But Austria was NEVER contacted about this NE law or about a training war. I have spoken to our Austrian Ambassador as well as the Austrian President about that. They were taken by surprise... as was the rest of Switzerland.
Also, if you want the support of the PTL party... try and talking to us about it. We are not unreasonalble.

I thought i made that clear by saying we diidn't have diplomatic contact. But looks like i didn't. We had to start the talks in a hurry after the proposal and that iis why we voted it down at first and started a new proposal after the first one.

Austria and Switzerland have been friendly for some time and there actually was quite a bit of communication. Which was why the sudden NE law proposal took people by surprise... we were not expecting it, and as noted by some others, neither were many in Switzerland. The total lack of communication on this issue was very atypical.
