Germany has taken all four Swiss regions

Germany has inherited 400+ very angry citizens with the regions it has taken.
While Resistance Wars will no doubt take place, and Italy has already attacked Svizerria Italiana, possibly the most exciting plot twist is that Swiss exile citizen Vincent Rekdal has announced his intention to run for President of Germany.
Germany has succeded in taking Switzerland off the map, but is not strong enough to hold it. Did they ever intend to keep it? Will Poland, who did not appear to take its MPP with Switzerland as much of a priority while the nation fell like dominoes, now take an imperialistic interest in the regions? Will Serbia and Slovenia, or France, now move in for the easy pickin' of the bones?
We shall see...

My first few days in US Congress

Tons of reading. When the old eUS Forum crashed it took everything. Some diligent Congressmen had some records and have been able to restore bits of information, but for the most part the whole Government section has been started over from scratch.
This includes the US Code, or Constitution, which was fairly well restored but still continues to have bits added and adjusted. The 38th Congress will be busy this month nailing down our Constitution and other basic elements of our government.
The current top business at hand is the election of this month's Speaker of the House-- the Speaker acts as sort of a referee, keeping order and interpreting the Law as Congress discusses matters. The other hot topic is whether the Speaker's term of office should be returned to the two-months as it was early last year, or kept to one month terms as it has been for some months now.
New Congressmen and Mentors are being paired up, openings in Immigration and other operational departments are posted and Congressmen are finding their way to their extra jobs. I have not signed up for anything, I've got my hands quite full already and don't want to end up doing a lousy job at everything by taking on more than I can handle. I'm poking around, though.. I am interested in seeing who deals with Budget Oversight, and I'll likely see if I can be of help in that area... or at least just stick my nose in it and see what's going on.
