Join the new world

Dear swiss people and friends, hello.

With day 5000 quickly approaching, i have to be ready and to write both interesting articles about our e-global diplomacy and events, but also about our local info and news as well..

first of all, i welcome with open arms our newest returning e-swiss citizen, mr sethesin, who was always a great writer, a poet and a dear friend, he was previously e-swiss and he returned back home, to our great e-swiss community:

Apart from those great news, i shall discuss about global diplomacy in erepublik...

as some of you might remember from an older article of mine :

i was analyzing how e-italy got a new revival/chnage in its whole e-political and social system, when those hardcore tanks of this e-country got permabanned for cheating and for exploiting the ''deploy'' buttons mechanics for a long while now.

first of all, those guys always worked as the ''new italian order'' [NIT], they roleplayed as far-right wing players, toying with fascist themes, and they often favored taking over the e-country, either legally, through their power in numbers/votes, OR, via more direct/brutal ways, such as with a dictatorship.

with them gone, the democratic forces of e-italy, and most notably the ''old italian order'' [OTO], got a new lease of life, their morale got up again and they could decide for the fate of their own e-nation...

as such, one of their actions was to leave asteria, and to be free from this alliances long-drawn wars...

but just like e-italy changed its previously long defined path and left asteria, on the opposite path, e-USA, suddenly decided to abandon its alliance CODE, and to join asteria.

and they didnt just do that, oh no.

e-USA applied to join asteria, their old alliances biggest rival, asteria rejected them, and they got relegated to join ''Apollo'', asteria's ''training alliance'', which was used in order to train and evaluate potential members of asteria.

so, to make things worse, not only did e-USA got rejected by asteria, whom they really wanted to join, but they got relegated into the lesser alliance ''Apollo'', which was basically a pawn, the training wheels of asteria for new members.

As such, when this event first happened, i naturally had some questions for my e-american friends...

So, for the e-USA's diplomacy/stance with CODE and asteria, i asked :

1) why did you guys joined CODE? what did you expected from them? were you good members of the alliance? did you do your part while in CODE?
and why did you leave the CODE alliance?

2) before joining CODE, what were your relations with asteria? was e-USA pro-asteria? anti-asteria? or in a different path?

3) instead of begging to become a member of a ruthless alliance such as asteria, why not return in your old alliance (Pacifica) and to strengthen your own alliance into a medium-power group and into a formidable defensive alliance instead?

4) as far as i recall, e-USA used to be a long-time member of the ''pacifica'' alliance, along with many strong partners.
what were your relations with asteria while you were in there? pro-asteria? anti-asteria? or...?

and why did you left pacifica in the first place?

and with those questions at hand, i let them tell me their thoughts.

the majority of e-USA's people who wanted to abandon CODE and to join asteria, told me that they were disappointed when while in CODE, they had lost a big war VS asteria's e-countries, and as a result, e-USA lost a large part of their regions, and they had to restructure themselves fast, while the reinforcements from fellow CODE e-countries would arrive in there later.

was that disappointment from CODE's loss of a battle/small war so big that it urged people not to just abandon CODE, but to also join its biggest rival, asteria?

but one might ask: shouldnt someone be loyal to his/her original alliance, regardless if some battles would be lost or won?
(for the benefit of the biggest picture, and/or for the end result of such a grand warzone between the 2 strongest alliances in the e-world...)

either way, the chronicle of the case, went like this:

e-USA left the CODE alliance on day 4623, a year ago,

and then zzzingo, proposed to them to join pacifica, their old alliance on day 4625,

yet they refused. (why?)

later,
they joined the apollo alliance on day 4760,

which was a part of their desired (new) plan in order to join asteria...

all in all, it was a big and chaotic change, and it certainly caused some ruckus in e-USA and in the global balance of power, as CODE was losing one big member, and asteria was gaining it, thus forcing CODE to act fast, and to keep the one new powerful e-nation that had recently joined its ranks : france.

as it was shown in here, the formerly neutral e-france, would join CODE, and they would become the new powerhouse of CODE, that would bring the 2 big alliances into a proper balance of power once more.

so, what are your thoughts on e-USA's actions?
was it treason against CODE?
was it fair?
was it a strategical move, and perhaps e-USA would feel well being an asterian e-country, and perhaps as a bonus, it would also improve its relations with e-canada too? ( with e-canada being in orion, tho )
