Sweet Lullaby

Day 953, 23:15 Published in Malaysia Malaysia by Amli Nujhan

It’s a peaceful morning today, and I still have 3 days of holiday to enjoy doing nothing.
I sat comfortably numb, hugging my dear Alfira on my lap.
I caressed the curvy body of her, still tight and lusty even after decades of romance…
My naughty fingers were lingering up and down her slender neck.
Gently I pinched her ear… she moaned.

I sang her a lullaby, a classic acoustic masterpiece by Pink Floyd.

Wish You Were Here (Waters, Gilmour) 5:17

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change.
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

You were right Wingman, ‘Alfira’ is my dear Fernandes acoustic guitar.
So Collinar,… Cold comfort for change. Did you exchange a walk on part in the war; for a lead role in a cage?
