Swagger McSwag for Congress... Speaker

Better late than never, so they say. So here's my manifesto.



I'm running for Congress in Luzon so I can become Speaker, the leader of Congress.

Once Speaker, I promise to bully the other congresspeople and make them push for:

1. A Philippine Constitution. It's been in discussion for years, but we've never actually enacted one. I want a constitution "with teeth", one that clearly delineates the powers of the President and Congress.



2. Actual, working Congress Committees, such as economic, immigration, blue ribbon, historical/honors, lulz, etc.



3. A Code of Ethics for Congress, or Official Rules/Procedures/Protocol so that Congress knows what to do in any given situation.



4. A Library/Archive/Wiki/Scribd of all previous laws so that our laws don't get lost in the labyrinthine dungeon that is the ePhilippines forums.



5. A review of our previous laws (if we can still find where they are; see #4).



6. Use of the publicly viewable section in the forums for non-sensitive discussions, so that non-Congress can see what we're up to. It's more transparent and builds trust with people.



7. Renaming Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) to Bureau of Immigration. Because.



That's it!

Now, don't vote me too hard. But don't vote me too light, either. Vote me just right. 😛
