Strange things in Congress

"The President of United Kingdom demanded a sum of 251 gold from your National Treasury in return to a peace treaty with Spain."

The stranger thing is that Congress are going to approve this !

251 gold ! That is a nice sum. There is no threat of Spain invading the eUK just yet, not with all our Mutual Protection Pacts, plus they would have to go through France.

When I said we needed a 1000 G to set up a State-run Real Estate agency and set up companies to provide the housing some citizens need, I was told there wasn't any gold for that. But we have 251G for a useless peace with a nation under embargo, and the President asked that we donate 2500G to our allies.

This just shows that there is no connection between the people of this country and it's leaders.

Melophore, as a congress man. I have decided to support this as we need to have as much peace as we can and 251 Gold is not too much of a price for it. Also We need peace with people who we can help our allies out.
