This is the world we live in one where people have simply forgotten how to cherish others. Have we simply breed out the compassionate genes in our gene pool. All the greats willing to throw themselves on a grenade to save there friends unfortunately don't get to pass on there genes which place others first. Sad thought I believe, not a survivalist instinct for sure but one that is quite noble and well appreciated by most.
