Stand and Fight!

Day 778, 19:29 Published in Israel Israel by Sam Krak

The long day wanes: the slow moon climbs: the deep
Moans round with many voices. Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down:
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in the old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are,
One equal-temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

eIsraelis,

I come to you today not as Hebrew Liasion of the UZSP. Not as a Knesset Member, or a worker at G-d the Father's Pizza. Not as a Seargent in the IDF or a Lieutenent in the game, either. Today, I come to you as a citizen of eIsrael. We are in a great war, one that has been going on throughout a spur of time that has led to territories won and lost, money gained and stolen, people coming and going. When Turkey made its second invasion, I feared the worst immediately, as did many of you. But I did not give up for one second. When Haifa was attacked, I fought there. When Nazareth was attacked, I fought there. When Tel Aviv was attacked, I fought there. And when Jerusalem was attacked, I fought there as well. We all fought there. Despite our boldness, we still lost the battles, and with it, our territtories.

This leaves Beersheba as the only region left of our great nation. I tell you this: Strength and Honor. We stay and fight till the last man, the last woman has clicked the fight button on the battlefield. We go down using everything we have. Or we don't go down at all. eIsrael now is our time.

STAND AND FIGHT!

Sons of Israel! Daughters of the Holy Land! My brothers and sisters. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of eIsrael fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Israel comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men and women of this country!
