Goodbye and Hello
Pvt. Xafferrow of Fire Team Zulu has been promoted to Sergeant and made Squad Leader in the new 3rd Platoon. Join me in wishing him the best of luck with the group of slack-jawwed noobs he now commands.
Welcome TheCleaner to The Fightin' Fourth. He comes to us battle-ready and eager to wage war. He is assigned to Fire Team Zulu. Each of you should befriend him and make him feel at home.
Your Grizzled Sarge
It has come to my attention that my otherwise cuddly and huggable personality rubs some people the wrong way. I am no tougher on you than I am on myself. I expect my squad to strive for excellence for glory for yourselves and this Army. As the saying goes, "You fight the way you train." And now we are training in expectation of a very real war that will imminently resume. I want each of you to be prepared for what lies ahead and if I am hard on you now, the purpose is to keep you alive and winning when that day comes.
I will take good care of you as far as weapons, equipment and training. All I ask in return is that you report once per week and your unquestioned loyalty.
V1 Release Date Announced
The Admins have stated that V1 will be released between October 1 and October 15, 2008. We do not have any information at this time about modifications to the war module. There are unsubstantiated rumors about new military complexes but I do not think these items will be available fast enough to affect the war as it resumes.
Were you paid last week?
I wasn't and I know some other squad members have told me. If you did the Army Pay link on Sunday and did not get paid, please include that in your comment to this briefing. I have already contacted Col. Vytautus and sent a PM to NSC Director Buzzy about this. I will notify you when we have more info, but I need to know who wasn't paid that should have been.
There and Back Again
Several of you still don't have moving tix. The cost of moving tix, especially Q1 are very low right now. If you need financial help in purchasing one, PM me.
And knowing is half the battle
Sgt. Duskwind of the 13th Squad has published an excellent article with links to just about everything related to waging war in eRepublik. Each of you should read it over and let me know if you have questions. The article can be found here:

Didn\'t get paid last week, but then again, I didn\'t \"submit my paperwork\" either... so it came as no big surprise.
I don\'t even know what squad I\'m in anymore.
