Hello! I would just like to welcome everyone to the Newly founded Newspaper dedicated to bringing you the news about sports from around the world. Any sport that makes news can be reported and if there is a particular sport you would like to see news about please PM me. so lets get right to it.

NHL News:
- The Montreal Canadiens welcomed Alex Kovalev back into their line up today and he made an immediate impact scoring a goal and adding 2 assists in the Habs 5-3 win over the Senators. Montreal has been ice cold of late and this win is a step in the right direction. Jaroslav Halak Made 41 saves for the win.
- Mats Sundin made his return to the ACC today a memorable one. Mats scored the shoot out winner against the Leafs in his first game at the ACC as a visitor. There was also a video tribute shown during the first TV timeout which garnered an ovation rom the ACC crowd.
- With the Trade Deadline only weeks away many teams are makign the decision on whether or not to be Buyers or Sellers. Some big names rumoured to be up for grabs are Marion Gaborik and Jay Bouwmeester. There will be much more news on this as the deadline approaches and more deals are made.

NBA News:
- The NBA Champion Boston Celtics will be without Kevin Garnet for at least 2 weeks. Garnet is out with a Strained Posterior muscle in his right knee. this is a blow to the power house celtics as they are going to be without one of their better defenders. The Celtics do not have an easy task upcomming as they Face the refreshed Phoenix suns
- The Phoenix suns have scored 140 points in each of their last 3 games. This has many people beleiving that the Suns are back to their old Run and Gun style of Basketball which led them to success in previous years. This recent change came as Coach Porter was relieved of duty, Alvin Gentry was appointed coach and the Suns have been rolling ever since. They have their toughest opponent yet when they faceoff against the Celtics, however as mentioned about the Celtics will be without Kevin Garnett.
- The NBA Trade deadline has officially passed and the Blockbuster deals everyone was looking for simply did not happen. The main reason for this is rumoured to be Owners looking out for their pocket books and not so much for the quick fix that might win them a championship.

Premier league News
- Arsenal Played to their third consecutive 0-0 draw against sunderland. This was particularlily tough for Arsenal as they did not manage to make up any ground in the standings.
- Manchester united defeated The Blackburns Rovers 2-1 padding their already large lead atop the Premier league standings

Other Sports News
- Tiger Woods is back! Tiger announced he will be participating in this weeks WGA tourney Teeing off on the 25th of Feb.
- Kyle Busch won the Nationwide Series win to go along with his Truck Series win earlier in the day. this Feat had never been accomplished before in the history of Nascar
- The longhorns Defeated #2 Oklahoma 73-68 shocking the Number 2 team.
- MLB Spring Training is just getting started, expect more news and updats later on in the week.
- As mentioned before the NHL Trade Deadline is Fast approaching. Expect more news on this later in the next two weeks.
- Maryland Pulled off a thrilling OT Victory over UNC shocking Tar heel Fans everywhere
- UConn Keeps on rolling with an easy victory over South Florida
