Spam is Vibrant. Stale Sandwich is not.

Day 5,570, 02:08 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Whether it's the pinky flesh with specks of white or the shimmering grease-sheen of a wobbled block, Spam proves itself a vibrant and versatile foodstuff. TRS emulates this vibrancy in it's Party-Character and has brought a new lease of life to eUK politics.

There is no better demonstration of this than the stats from February's PP elections. The Real Spamicans fielded the most candidates and had the highest turnout of all the parties. Citizen-Scientists nationwide wide will read this and observe that, whereas other foods go stale, Spam always stays fresh. There is nothing fresher than 9 Spamcandidates (except maybe ten), nothing staler than a party putting forward one Stale-Sandwich.

Just ask yourself - how would you like your Spam sandwich? 54.2% full? Didn't think so. Accompanied by only a single other limp filling? Of course not. Over 90% stuffed with 9 fillings?! Damn right! Step away from your Stale Sandwich and get some proper democratic-nutrition. Join TRS.

Now the good citizen-scientists and would-be citizen-scientists among you will recognise that a small range of stats on their own don't fully prove that all other parties than the Spamicans are dried up and stale. That's smart thinking, that is why you're thinking of joining.

Fear not - further evidence is at hand!

Our sensible Spamican Congressmen were please to participate in a number of votes this month. The suggestion was to make sure Congress guidelines are shared in Congress chat, (as such we also asked Congress to agree on what the guidelines would be). The idea was simply that each Congress could have it's own chance to re-affirm it's satisfaction (or not) with the guidelines & speaker - to avoid Congress, the legislative arm of our political system, falling into a sleepy stupor under the guise of 'tradition'.

Now all would-be citizen-scientists and members of the public reading this will think it's a pretty common-sense and uncontroversial thing to suggest - and worry not! The Spamicans won the debate. But with the intervention of the Stale Sandwich brigade we failed to win the vote! Boo! (That's why you should make sure you vote Spamican next Congress election!) Waiting for that proof of stale-sandwichness? Well remembered citizen-scientist. Amongst the evidence of stale-sandwichness drifting around the Congress chat, was the following tid-bits:

>TUKRP congressmen voting no because because they said including copy and pasted text in the thread was too "cumbersome"(!). Remember - they represent you!

>Several Congressmen voting how they were told without participating in any debate! Remember - they represent you!

>Congressmen arguing that they don't want to do it because they could do it when they please and someone asking once a month if they fancy doing it is too much like hard work. Remember - they represent you!

>Over half of Congress not voting! Remember - they represent you!

Despite the low turnout, some Congressmen were denied a vote because they didn't log in 'in time' and others may not even have been notified it was happening.

Does any of that seem like a Stale-Sandwich to you? Of course it does - you are smart enough to be reading this! But don't take my word for it, Mr Knee, PCP PP asked me to include the following in my report:

"After several days of discussion about making some changes that might cause some additional work for someone, Congress voted to make no changes and therefore will slip back into a coma until such time that Sir Apple's internet happens to die in the immediate aftermath of an election"

Remember - these would be coma-ites represent you! So stop voting for them and vote for The Real Spamicans instead. If you want Congresspeoples to actually do the work of Congresspeoples you literally have no other option!

There is a dim light on the horizon - a number of Congressmen downvoted the proposals to check if anyone wants to raise any issues once a month because they felt they could trigger such proposals whenever they please - happy days. I have began a speaker vote and will eagerly discuss the absence of guidelines with anyone who wants to. Those same congressmen are, we can assume, happy to participate... Presumably they downvoted the proposal to do something they are actually happy to do for *checks notes* reasons? (You can almost hear the crack of of the whip!) Remember - they represent you!

If you rightly believe this is a nonsense state of affairs then why note go a step further - don't just vote for TRS, but join TRS! Don't waste your vote and your body count on people who want their 5g and to log out - waste it on vibrant and versatile pink-shiny candidates instead.
